I have been battling with Uturn Vending now for over 6 months. I came across this site and thought I would pass along my horror story with anybody even remotely thinking about giving 1 dollar to these SCAMMERS!!!

About 6 months ago I read an ad on vending. I called the # , and had to give my contact information so someone would call me back. I should have guessed then I would be involved in a high pressure scam! About an hour later I got a call from Jeremy Finn. He was as sweet as punch telling me all about the great profits, and wonderful benifits of owning a Uturn business. I could have the eliminator, or the terminator depending on my budget, But how I better act now!! because of the great deal they had on machines.

I went ahead and bought the terminators and gave them $15,000, Of my hard earned $$. After believing the lies that Jeremy told me. Jeremy said he would be there for me, help find the best locations, etc... I fell hook, line, and sinker. All they did was eliminate my bank account!!! Forget the locations, I can't even get the machines I paid for!! And try and get Jeremy on the phone. All I get is the same receptionist, telling me he is un available. I am in the process of serving legal papers on these Bastards from Idaho. I will not take this lieing down.

Anyone who wants to be a part of my lawsuit who has similiar dealings with these frauds email me through the rebuttla key and lets put Jeremy behind bars where he belongs!!! By the way this is where they claim there office is I might just fly there myself and collect personally!!! : 1460 Commerce Way

from a new owner of the U-turn 8 select machines

AUTHOR: Blaise - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, May 25, 2006

After viewing an ad for U-turn machines I got intrested quick by the sharp appeal of this machine. After talking with friends and family about buying possibly up to 10 machines one of them said to buy 2 machines to just start off. Of course at the time I thought you had to invest a minimum of 7,188.00 as part of a package.

With the lure of owning these nice looking yellow machines I made the decision that these would be impossible to say no to. After a few days I ask my sales rep to price 3 of the machines for me. The sales rep quotes me $799.00 per machine. So I agree to purchase the 3 machines and add on 7 year warranty's (theft + vandalism), a service package(aka parts), and labels.

The machines arrived quickly from UPS maybe a week later. The boxes were very heavy and the one box held 2 machines weighing over 90 LBS! Putting together the machines was fairly easy with 2 people. The real pain came when it came time to change settings on the different canisters to get them just where I wanted them. I spent at least 3-4 hours or more cleaning the canisters out, changing the vend settings to the proper ones I wanted, and attaching the labels so that they weren't slanted.

First of all I want to say that I have only had my 8 select machines on location for a month. So far I have had only 1 great location which is making an estimated $100 per month. 1 good location thats making estimated $50/month. However the 3rd location is a horror making less then 35/month!!! So this is $185 per month in Revenues NOT PROFIT! So if I am lucky I get 75% Profits= 185*.75=138.75 799*3= 2397 2397/138.75=17 months later I will break even. However I will probably cut that time down a notch when I relocate the horrific location making $35 or less.

So overall am I happy? sort of. I have found a business opportunity that should become profitable for me. Would I buy from U-turn again? No, since I feel that paying $799.00 for a machine is a big mistake since similar machines can be bought new for an amount at a fraction of the cost. Also it takes alot of muscle to move these giant 8 select machines by yourself and I found myself literally sweating after attempting to do so ( by myself). I do believe they tell the truth that these machines are inflation proof-to a certain extent. You can not only adjust the candy outflow but also I hear saw the 50 cent coin mechanisms available. The way inflation is going it could be just a few years when all of these machines are 50 cents each! Bottom line: Start with ONE of these machines before you decide you want more of them...

Uturn

AUTHOR: Steve - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, October 30, 2005

You won't kick my butt b/c I'm a customer from one of the other vending machines. I think it all depends where the machines are placed.

Second of all those uturn machines are a waste b/c if your product isn't selling much then whats the point of making some kind of decent cash in this business.

If the owner of a business wants a percentage then the vendor owner isn't making any money off those machines. I know b/c I have machines in the same places that the uturn machines are in. I also have creativity with thoughts on how to make more money.

You're full of BS I ordered 16 machines from U-turn

AUTHOR: Jason - (Canada)

POSTED: Thursday, March 10, 2005

I ordered 16 machines from U-turn. They arrived within 10 business days. Most of that time they were in transit and Canadian Customs (UPS shows shipment from Idaho a couple of days from receipt of my payment)

I have a feeling you are either A) a present Utrun oner trying to prevent others from stealing your thunder or B) a non-Owner that has had Uturn take business away from you.

As far as service time, if you can't service a Terminator within 5 minutes, you must be a chimpanzee. These things are built like Lego blocks. A set of tools? The only tool needed is a philips screwdriver and thats only if you are adjusting the coin mech or the tumbler settings.

I call BS on both of you!

#9 Consumer Suggestion

The vast majority of complaints are valid, as well as useful. The BBB is virtually worthless to consumers.

AUTHOR: Paul - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 15, 2005

The BBB is virtually worthless to consumers looking to investigate a company before investing. In their efforts to verify everything, they continue to present a company as reputable when the real story is the exact opposite.

If the BBB was on the Titanic, they would continue to say that the ship is seaworthy even when it is listing badly and a large section of the bow is under water. Only when the thing is on the ocean bottom would they finally admit that there seems to be a problem. Unless the passengers came prepared with scuba gear, that kind of a warning is of no value. Don't you agree?

Further, the BBB has a financial bias to overcome. They extract payment from their members. For the price of one phony bill, a scam company can join up with the BBB, then go on to use the seal of approval to cheat even more people. That's a hell of a good investment, I'd say. Many people still recognize the BBB as the gold standard. Fools gold; they all too often learn.

The one thing that does hold true about the BBB is this: if the BBB calls a company a fraud, then you d**n well know to run like hell. Any place that makes their s**t list is fraud to a power of ten.

On the other hand, this site has mostly accurate complaints. Yes, some victims may exaggerate. Others lie to cover up their own foolishness over throwing their money away on fraud. And, I don't deny that some complaints are completely without fact or merit. How can anyone stop that?

But, I'd venture to say that 9 out of 10 complaints have merit and provide a factual account of the company's actions. In addition, the site's staff allows company owners to come here and rebut any complaints, such as you have done. You can have equal space, or more space, as you wish.

At this point, I don't know who to believe. The complaints seem plausible. So does your denial and offer to rectify a genuine problem.

Personally, as I stated above, I don't see a problem with the machines. Should I choose to enter the vending business, I would find my locations first. That way, size or color of the machines wouldn't be a problem. I'd make a cardboard mockup of the machine and present it to the location's owner. That way, no surprises. My machines would go in as planned, without a hitch.

I'll say one thing. If your competitors are so afraid of your company that they need to run it down on the internet, then you must be a credible threat to them. Business must be booming there. So much so that your company is stealing all the customers.

invalid report

AUTHOR: Tami - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, February 14, 2005

I am a representative of U-Turn and I can find no basis for this complaint. I cannot find a customer that matches this information.

If this complaint is from an actual customer I urge you to contact our company. We do not leave customer complaints unresolved.

As part of a reputable company this website disturbs me for the fact that none of these reports are checked for any validity. Any disreputable company could list fraudulent reports against a competitor.

This is where a company like the BBB is helpful. They work to maintain consumer rights by posting reports but they do give a company the opportunity to dispute the claim if it is false.

This must be proven to the BBB they do not just take the companies word, so it preserves the integrity of the reports that are made. If you are researching vending companies I urge you to use the BBB website. If you have a valid complaint against our company I would ask that you contact me, Tami Rigby at 800-584-8887.

Bulk vs. Full Service vs. Amusement vending

AUTHOR: Bill - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 08, 2005

Think of how many places you see cranes compared to how many places you see bulk vending machines (dispensing candy, tatoos, stickers in capsules, etc.) - I bet it is not even 1/100 of the locations.

The problem is, for the items the machines dispense, it takes up too much room!! Especially when you can't put it against a wall. Even the cranes go against a wall.

Crane machines have VERY specific locations that are able to accomodate them. These do too. Try going to a convenience store and asking them to put in a crane.

I'm just telling you my experience. For 90% of the locations I tried (and my locators tried), we were told they were too bulky. I'll bet that most of the places you see bulk vending machines are space-constrained. Well, UTurn's machines definitely don't help!!

Vending works, it takes effort, and nobody needs an added difficulty to get their business going!!! These machines are that extra difficulty. . .

Thus, my thought, THESE MACHINES SUCK!!

#6 Consumer Suggestion

I can't see why nobody wants the machine around.

AUTHOR: Paul - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, February 07, 2005

Normally, I read a complaint and move on. But, on this one, I was curious. So, I went to the site to see these giant machines.

They don't look that big to me. I read the specs. The biggest one stands 5 feet tall. These are candy/gum/nut dispensers. The large machines consist of many individual vending stations ganged together into a large unit that stands 5' high. They are mounted on a turntable so that customers can spin them until they find the item they desire. The steel plate base is 18 square. They could be placed against a wall. They would still spin.

Now, don't get mad at me or accuse me of working for the company. But, I can't see why nobody would let the machine in their store. People buy from machines like this. I see the machines in supermarkets all the time. Actually, quick-serve auto service shops would more than likely love to have this. The customers have snacks to eat. Plus, everybody makes a few bucks.

I see these crane stuffed toy machines all the time. They're even bigger.

The only problem I see is that the buyers here probably paid too much. That's what happens when you buy new. But, other than that, I think I'd be able to place these things and get some cash flow going.

Why is that not the case here?

AUTHOR: Bill - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, February 07, 2005

I just read this posting chain and had already posted a note of my own. The "business development consultant" gave me as much time as I wanted. I knew I wanted to go into the vending business, I JUST WISH I HAD DONE IT WITH DIFFERENT MACHINES!!

I negotiated a fair deal, they didn't pressure me (too much), and was excited when they arrived (although about a week later than promised - they order them from China, or something).

They never told me how complicated the machines are to service. What a pain in the a*s!! I have to bring a set of tools everytime I want to fill them up. However, that isn't very often because NO ONE WANTS THESE HUGE MACHINES IN THEIR ESTABLISHMENTS!!

I never thought about it, but what vending machines do you know are designed specifically so they can't fit against a wall? NONE! What location has room to make a vending machine its star attraction in the middle of the floor? NONE!

FOr the love of God, if you go into the business, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

You can't take anything on a plane if it's pointy, sharp, or goes bang. Remember?

Besides, a vehicle is an integral part of the plan. Bump and grab.

BTW, anytime someone tells you to act now, tomorrow is too late, it's fraud.

Fraud always stinks to high heaven. If you have the time to sit and think, you'll never buy. Hence, the rush to make a purchase.

Act now? Limited time? The deal is only good today? Last chance? FRAUD!
