After searching for the perfect small business to help my wife start, we finally settled on the Vending industry.  We compared several vending companies and many different types/qualities of machines.  Long story made short, we finally settled on machines through Uturn Vending.  Our final decision to settle on doing business with Uturn over the many competitors was because of the overwhelming sense of customer service, honesty, concern and interest we felt from the Uturn gang during our "pre-purchase courtship".  This feeling out period (due diligence) consisted of webinars, phone conversations, visits with the Owner (Randy Francis) and a trip to Idaho Falls headquarters to view the operation, meet the staff and learn the business.

As nervous as we were to invest over 50,000 dollars of our savings to help my wife start a business, we were assured that we couldn't fail, our area would be a raging success, and the "Uturn team" would be by our side every step of the way to ensure our success.

Now, several months later, we are floundering.  Cannot place machines, others that are placed are doing terrible, we've had numerous mechanical problems and suddenly, the "Uturn team" is no where to be found.  We feel that we are left holding the bag now that the purchase is final.  While all the machines were still in boxes (because we couldn't place any of them) we called the owner and asked to return the product.  We were flatly rejected and told that Uturn does not have a "buy back policy".  No offer of help to locate re-sale contacts was offered.  Instead, our ambition and integrity was called into question and we were subtly told that any problems we're facing are a result of lack of effort.

We have since learned that we could get the same machines for half the price elsewhere.  Prospective buyers should exercise extreme caution before sinking their hard earned savings into the promise of an "easy to run / highly profitable" vending business.  So far, nothing could be farther from the truth.  We wish the owners/employees would spend as much time helping ensure success after the sale as they did trying to get the sale.

Problems many people know about and U-Turn unfailingly denies:

1. It is nearly impossible to place these machines in certain areas.

2. The coin mechanism CAN jam or be defective, without any tampering committed.

3. A lot of product will go to waste.
 
What is the point of talking to a director of sales???  What can that person do for the above customer that would satisfy them?  Can the director of sales rectify any of the above problems?  Doing something personally is NOT the same as doing something productively for a customer.

Would you personally say, "I'm sorry"?

I must say we were very shocked to be informed of this report.  While of course it is impossible to please absolutely everyone we have thousands of satisfied customers.  But at the very least we are always available to communicate to our customers whether happy or displeased.  As Director of Operations anyone who is unhappy in anyway I speak with personally.  We are absolutely unaware of any customer in the situation described above.  If this is a legitimate person please contact me right away and I will certainly help you.
