I was on vacation in Puerto Rico with my best friend for a much needed girls week, July 20-27, 2013. We thought an adventure on this beautiful island is a must and we decided to go Zip Lining. So many friends recommended it as a top activity for thrill seekers like us. I did some research on line and booked through Puerto Rico Zip Line.

At first everything seemed fine, the company gave me a confirmation number at the end of my transaction and said the charges will appear as Vacations Made Easy on my billing statement. The confirmation page also stated I would receive a confirmation email within 24 hours when my account was charged with the instructions for the trip. This was on a Monday and my account was charged on a Tuesday. All day I checked and refreshed my email with no luck. Then Wednesday came along ... and that's when I started to worry.

I called the number on the web page but all I got was a busy signal, after three hours of trying I checked my statement and found a Missouri Area Code phone number to call. This looked promising as I was able to speak with someone that apologized for the delay and stated they would resend the email as we were speaking. Since I have Verizon, I had to disconnect the call to check my email but yet again nothing. Heidi, the young lady I spoke with, game me her direct extension to call back to get the matter squared away. When I called back the call center I was directed to a voice mail, with no clue that it was affiliated with Vacations Made Easy.

It is now Wednesday night and still no luck in getting any information for the location of the zip lining place or how to get in contact with anyone. You would think the website would have an address or location of where to go but sadly no. After doing some research and putting the picture together I have been clearly scammed. I did book with another company Torro Verde, I highly recommend them. Great price, great guides, and includes lunch. I was fortunate to call my bank and report the transaction as a fraud transaction, so I was not out $286. But this is definitely not a fun way to spend my much needed vacation.
