I had a mortgage with Oakwood acceptance corp in 2003 and I voluntarily surrendered my home to them and was told that if I did so I would not have any further financial responsibiities in the home. well now 3 years from that date vanderbilt mortgage is calling me and sending me letters saying I owe over $4000.00 for the sale of the home and insurance etc. I don't think by law I am responsible. They are calling me all hours of the day and I am getting about one letter per week demanding payment. what legal recourse do I have??
