Clayton Homes Vanderbilt Mortgage Cardboard House Alexandria Louisiana

My brother, sister in law and I bought a home from Clayton Homes in 2009.  We were shown a home that was supposed to be like the one we were purchasing except ours would have an extral bedroom.  I even tapped on he waslls and comment they appeared to  be solid.  We were assured that ours would be too.  Ours was delivered and set up.  We we looked at the home we found out it wasnt a Clayton brand, it was a Southern Home which is apparently their economy model for those of us who can't afford the good stuff.  They also took the wheels and other stuff they used to transport the home.  

As we lived in the home we began to notice how poorly made this "home" is.  The walls are cardboard or fiberboard.  We can't clean the walls without rubbing the pattern off.  Heaven forbid we try to put a nail in the flimsy wall to hang a picture, the nail won't stay and the picture falls off.  the stuff is coming off the cabinets and you can see they are fiberboard.  You can see through the cracks where the walls are supposed to meet.  Our airconditioner has gone out a couple of times and it has cost us to repair because the insurance is lousy.  

We could sell this piece of crap if we wanted to.  It is falling apare and the sad part about it is how much we still owe on it.  Ridiculous.  Oh yes.  they wouldn't let me put my name on the title because my credit rating wasnt good enough.  I have helped my brother pay for this hunk of junk since we bought it.  I have never missed paying my half since we got it.  I am thouroughly disgusted at this ripoff and  hope there is some kind of class action suit going one.  Because my brother and I, his name is Michael Flatt, want to join it.
