Clayton Homes ,mobile homes, RIP OFF - POOR QUALITY! I lost so much money on buying this home and am heart broken. The customer service people were rude and nasty to me. Please beware and avoid this company unless you want to go through what I did. Clayton homes are VERY LOW QUALITY. This company is a joke. Clayton Homes (mobile homes) RIP OFF - Poor quality! I bought a 2014 single wide mobile home from Clayton Homes. It was a single wide. I had to sell the home 3 years later because: Strong odor of chemicals in the home to the point where it burned peoples eyes, and the smell stuck to our clothes. Sadly I moved out of my home I thought I would live in forever and had to sell all my furniture and most all of my stuff that had absorbed that smell. I think it was glue, and formaldehyde. The company was called to my home 10 times to fix roof leaks, window leaks, defective ceiling, wall and flooring problems. After 3 years a new roof was required. There is only a one year warranty on the roof by the way!!!. I lost so much money on buying this home and am heart broken. The customer service people were rude and nasty to me.
