Venture Custom Pools completed our pool project on time and were very courteous and efficient during the construction process. However, it was a different story 5 days after completion, when the water would not circulate.
It was a Saturday, we called the company, had to leave a message, but no one responded to messages left on their telephone, and so my wife and I drove to the showroom. There a very rude "salesman" told us that they could not help us unless we wished to purchase a new pool!
True to his word, the company did not offer us any assistance. We were fortunate in being able to find a friendly pool maintenance company to sort the problem, which was due to a poorly installed skimmer flap which had got stuck in the closed position, preventing water circulation.

First let me say that we here at Venture Custom Pools try our best to make every customer happy and we strive to create an atmosphere that reflects our enjoyment of what we do. I know things happen and never have I ever herd of a company that was 100% when it comes to making everyone happy.
That said I would like to address the issue I have here. This person is actually saying that they just spent tens of thousands of dollars in their back yard but because our service department had a bad day (that is if you were even using the correct extention and not calling on a sunday) that feel ripped off due to a skimmer door sticking.
A skimmer door sticks after construction not because it was done poorly but because everything is new and as you may know new stuff needs to be broken in. The flap that is used is one that has a dog ear inside of a swivel so that as water flows in with debree. The debree wont flow out when it shuts off.
A new skimmer will be a bit stiff and if " To much debree or low water level" occurs durring this period it will cause in to pull forward thus creating a pinch. This is easy to fix by pushing the door back down and over time it will not occure because it will have worn in the swivel.
This site is a great way to find out who your potential contractor is and if your going to be in good hands. In this case it has been used in an incorrect manner and it is a shame. I hope no clients have been lost due to this persons attitude and attempt to damage our reputation because of user error.
A note to all. If water is not flowing then start from the point of suction and work your way back. Usually it will be something small like in this case and if not then give us a shout so we can correct this issue promptly.
