Verio Worlds Worst Web Host Denver Colorado

I was a Verio customer for over a decade. Verio was acquired by another company in or about 2016. I was informed that I needed to move my website to a new server of theirs. They also gave me a deadline in order to do so. I did not have the software to move the site and verio would not move my site for me. I created a hosting account with another company that offered to move my entire site for me. After the move to the new web host I contacted Verio to close my account. I received an email stating that my account was "closed, deleted and I would incurr no further charges". However, Verio continues to charge my credit card on a monthly basis. After 25 attempts (litterally) to contact Verio I finally received a response..."Your credit card charge will not be refunded". I now have to place a chargeback on these charges to my credit card and that costs me money as well. I have filed a complaint with the Colorado BBB as that is where the Verio headquarters is located. I do not expect Verio to respond to the complaint, nor do I expect Verio to stop chsrging my credit card monthly for an account that does not exist. If you are contemplating hosting your site with Verio, please take a few minutes to read the extensive complaints on the web about Verio before doing so.
