First - You'll hear this "We're looking for model homes".  Free or discount right?  Wrong, it's a false opening pitch. There's nothing, it's the same for everyone.

Second - "I work for Vivant".  They are wearing a Vivint shirt, have a Vivint badge, and are driving a Vivant vehicle.  Wrong, they are independent contractors with their own marketing business, there must be some loophole their exploiting to make these claims somehow legal.  Some type of complicated partnership, so they can look like employees, claim they work for Vivint, and somehow Vivint can shield themselves from the false claims and shady Marketing practices.  It's a bait and switch scam like most door to door sales.

Third -"Free Moves".  Wrong.  You e have to resign a 4 year agreement for the new home and get the same 12 point system, or pay a $99 transfer fee and finish out your contract, or transfer the existing service contract to the new owners.  It's another hassle.  Anytime someone says "free", get out your wallet.

Fourth - Who the heck wants a 3.5 year (42 mo) contract?  What if their service is poor -you're stuck.  There are no service guarantees.  You're basically signing away your consumer rights.  You'll see in ALL CAPS, they do not guarantee anything; service, reliability, or that it'll even work.  They limit their liability to $1000.00, gee thanks.

Take my advice, walk away.  Don't take my word for it, do your due diligence and you'll see you're buying a contract.  An expensive one at that.    I'd love to have a security system, but every time I engage in negotiations with the door to door guy, hoping it's an honest reliable company, it's the same old routine security system business, sales model, and contract.  I'm still waiting for these guys to get their act together and not treat me like a moron so I can buy a good product.

Better Business Bureau rates them a C-, and there's a pending lawsuit against these guys for their sales tactics.
