Several years ago I signed up for Vonage VOIP telephone service at my house.  After my contract was over, I tried to cancel my service which was a very lengthy process in itself.  Several months later they were still charging my credit card.  It took several phone calls and emails to get them to admit it was cancelled and they still kept chargin my card.  Eventually I had to cancel my card to get them to stop and then they tried to send me to a collection company for something like $12.  I swore I would not use them again. But, several months ago I decided to give them another change and signed up again on thier "pay as you go" month-to-month plan.  And, again, when I did not use the service for about 6 months, I tried to cancel and they would not let me.

Bottom line is; Signing up for Vonage is easy and the service is OK.  But if you ever decide to cancel, good is a nightmare and they will continue to bill/charge you for as long as they can. Overall, I have been forced to pay for a service that I have not used for about 1 year.
