I was disgusted with the Waffle House near the Town Center Mall in Kennesaw. It was so dirty that I told the waitress that I could not eat there and suggested to her that someone should now and then at least sweep the floor.
I see that there are 15 other complaints about them so it is a good move on my part to just leave.
I did try to get a email to them on their web site but four times it didn't go through giving me the below quoted error message despite my having filled in all the blanks.
As I told the "President" of Waffle House since I could not get an email to them I decided to drop a line to the Cobb County Health Department asking that this pig sty of a restaurant be inspected.
I WILL NEVER EAT AT ANY WAFFLE HOUSE! EVER!

Dear Sir:
I took the time and effort to try to email you about the filthy condition of your Kennesaw location on Roberts Court and for my effort all I got was:
"Mail send failure. Error was FromAddress Property cannot be blank."
So not only did I waste my time in attempting to eat at one of your locations I also wasted another 15 minutes trying to email you about this pig sty location of yours.
Since I have so much time invested I am going to go ahead and contact the Cobb County Health Department and suggest this filthy restaurant of yours be inspected!

Most of them are indeed nasty. Not all of them though. Maybe 1 out of 5 is ok. I've walked into some that have had buckets in the middle of the floor from the leaking roof and lipstick on the "clean" coffee cups- YUCK! Needless to say I turned right around and left that one.
There's one by my work that seems relatively new. It's always clean and the staff is always friendly. Wish they were all like that...

Update to my report on Waffle House

1) I did get quite a good response when I eventually got through to the Waffle House upper management by mail.
2) The local Health Inspectors went right out for an informal look - not a full inspection but they went and looked and by that time the WH upper mgmt had the problem in hand and the place was cleaned up. I heard this both from the health inspector and the WH Dist Mgr who phoned me about the problem.
3) This location is now closed, I only noticed it 30 days ago, so it could have been closed for some time - I no longer live in that city.
I am pleased it was closed down as it was the worst restaurant I ever was in as far as how dirty it was!

I'm glad I'm not the only one that's noticed. This is NOT an isolated issue. I've noticed the sanitary standards of Waffle House to be very low over the years.
My comment is to support, so that no one thinks this was a one time thing. It's actually common knowledge and that's worth Heath Dept. officials getting involved.
