This is a story about a simple mistake that could have been resolved when the error was identified. In doing so, the company would have retained a very good, profitable account, made the customer pleased, would have shown honesty, concern, high credibility and that this Store does what is right. The customer would have sent referrals, posted a great review on multiple websites, blogs, tweets, face book and myspace. What a great opportunity to show integrity! Instead, Walgreens chose to blame other, not except responsibility for an obvious error on their part, tell the customer that they had sent in documents to the Insurance Company to get reimbursement for the client when they never did, tell the customer that they would need to fill out individual claim requests to the insurance company to get reimbursement (over 350 prescriptions/forms), that they (Walgreens) had hired CMS to negotiate a settlement when it was not true and constantly give the client the Royal Runaround for 6 months and still not corrected their (Walgreens) error.


Walgreens tried to blame my insurance company but that was quickly resolved, my Insurance Company (Trillium) had paid Walgreens for 100% of the cost of the prescriptions, in addition, Walgreens profited from charging me 20% to 30% of the cost of each Prescription totaling over $7,500.00.

Next, Walgreens tried to blame the Insurance Administrator (OHP) and again, that was put to rest because they have nothing to do with paying out for Prescriptions, they handle billing the clients for the Insurance cost.

Next, Walgreens is trying to blame me stating I gave them the incorrect Insurance information? Well I have had only one insurance company for the past three years and NO insurance prior to that. In addition, my Doctor has all my Insurance information, number, phone number and contact person on EVERY Prescription! It is sad, abusive, dishonest and just wrong!

I am disabled, broken/fractured spine, degenerative bone disease, shredded rotator cuffs, left one was repaired by an excellent surgeon and the right one was botched by a not so good surgeon and my left knee is gone My wife was unemployed from September 2010 to mid January 2011 so potentially, we where not going to have a Christmas for our two children.

The worst thing that Walgreens did was when they hired CMS to negotiate a settlement with me. Vicky was the rep from CMS and on December 10, 2010, Vicky informed me that she would have a check for $10,000.00 by December 22, 2010. I informed my kids and wife about what Vicky had said and that we were going to have a fun, enjoyable but modest Christmas, we could not afford to spend over $600.00 even with the check.

December 22, 2010 came and went, Vicky would not return my calls and either would Walgreens. My kids were devastated and they were mad at Dad because I said we would have Christmas and as far as they were concerned, I had lied to them! I cried for days, seriously! I have had two Anxiety attacks that required me having to be taken to the Hospital and at least ten others. I had real bad depression issues and after the Christmas debacle, I even thought out, planned my suicide.

Walgreens has caused me and my family great pain and injury. Walgreens knows that we can not afford an attorney and that my handicap makes it so that I can not work, they are taking advantage of me because I am Handicapped. I am saving up money ($400.00) to file small claims against them and we will use that money to launch a full out Lawsuit against Walgreens.

I am in Eugene Oregon, there are an Attorneys that want to help us, PLEASE call us! I hate to beg, I am use to taking care of me and my family but we would accept any help in funding the lawsuit, I would be willing to give an Attorney 50% of the proceeds! Or if some one funds the suit, I will pay back every penny plus interest. Thank you and God Bless America!
