My husband and I had our tax refund deposited on our two separate Walmart cards to divide money. He went to use the card - and it was declined over and over. We called and they told us they blocked it until they could prove our IDENTITY since we had a Direct Deposit. They wanted us to fax our drivers license and social security cards, which we did, and they said it could take 10 days to "investigate". Well- everytime we faxed we were told either the copies were too dark, too light, etc We enlarged it, then they told us to shrink it, and this has gone on for almost 2 weeks now.

We even sent this from FEDEX Kinkos at photo high resolution, yet this was not good enough either. We've had to call over and over and everytime someone different gives us a different answer, that the next person we get says "no we can't do that, I don't know why they told you that" etc. When I complained to a "supervisor" and had to reexplain our dilema over and over and they we are being told copies aren't clear over and over and that we are getting different info every time we call, one named Kristin ID 4596 hung up on me. I told her that they were making excuses for everything so they could hold our money and collect interest on it.

When I told them I was going to get notarized affidavits of identity and send those through mail I was told that I should just try FAXING licenses again!!!! I said no, that i have bent over backwards to prove who I am. That this isn't credit they are denying, its my OWN money!!!!! I told them I wanted an address to MAIL copies to them so they had no excuse why they can't see them and that I am sending this with a tracking number and want it signed for so that can't say "we never got it" which is what I suspect they will do now.  We went to the notary to have this done, and the bank faxed  these documents on our behalf.

I am going to call today to verify they were received and will also mail the hard copies. I am sure there will be "some" problem why its not good enough...they can't "see" the notary's handwriting good enough or something etc!!!! We have alot of money tied on these cards and I need it NOW...I have bills to pay and I am so angry over this I can't harldly sleep at night. I also sent Walmart Coporate a complaint which I have not heard anything back, and I plan to contact my state attorney general as well as the IRS and BBB. Can somebody help me or do something to stop them from doing these kinds of things???? A social security card should have been document enough!!!! Thank you.
