Walmart Money Card Green Dot Bank Walmart Money Card Scam and Deceptive Business Nationwide

I was out of town in New Orleans on a family emergency.  I only had cash and needed a way to book a hotel room. I went in Walmarts and the associates handed me a Walmart money card and said this is a gift card and told me I would be able to use this card for my travel needs. Without hesitation I loaded on 200.00. Tweleve hrs later I went to use the card and it kept coming back declined. I called Walmarts and they said they needed to verify my identity and I would need to fax over my driver license and social security card. Well I don't travel w my ss card for starters. I explained the situation and she said in order to get a card w my name on it I would have to fax the nessicary documents. I told her I was not interested in receiving a permanet card I just wanted to get my money back she told me that walmarts aka green dot would not return any of my funds until I provided the documentation and on top of that it would take 10 business days to handle. I was furious!!! so I read the user card agreement that came w the card and there stated in black and white that if I didn't not want or would not verify my identity that the temp card would be unblocked and I would be allowed to retrieve my funds. I called walmarts back and stated word for word from their user contract again I was given a cookie cutter answer and told well mam I need u to send the documents. I said but your user agreements states otherwise again a cookie cutter answer that doesn't address what I said and I am turned down again. They now are holding my money hostage and holding it illegally. I hate the fact that large corporations can get away with illegal activities. If only all the consumers could rally together a stand by a Walmart blackout week where no one shops at walmarts maybe they would learn that they have to have customer service and they can't just treat everyone like S***.
