My husband and I went to Warehouse Furniture to purchase living room furniture. We made it very, very clear to the salesperson that we wanted quality leather on the entire sofa. We were told that the sofa that we liked was all leather. We purchased a sofa and chair.
A couple of weeks later I called and told our sales person that we were going to come and pick up the furniture and to please see that it was checked for any damage. He said ok.

When we arrived to pick it up, we were roped out of the warehouse and again I asked the warehouse person to make sure it was not damaged. He said ok.

When we returned home and unloaded the furniture, the sofa was damaged. When my husband looked at the damage, he said that he believed that this was inferior quality to what we had been lead to believe we were purchasing.
My husband called and spoke to the manager, Jim Morgan, who assured us that it was all leather. However, after researching and speaking to an honest store that sold the same furniture and the factory representative, we found that the sides and back of the sofa and couch were an inferior leather known as splits. This was not the qulaity that we requested and that we were lead to believe we were purchasing.

When we were told this, we asked to be able to exchange it for the quality of furniture that we were wanting and expecting. We were refused. We were told that there was a 90 day warranty on the furniture and that was all they would honor.

This was not a warranty issue, it was misleading and/or fraud. I notified CHASE, my credit card company. Apparently they do business with this company because they would not honor any type of investigation and told us to use the warranty.

I went to the store today and tried to have some meaningful communication with Jim Morgan. My salesperson said that he had tried to get Jim Morgan to allow us to exchange the merchandise for something we were satisfied with and told me to try and talk to him.
This guy is a jerk. He didn't even have the common courtesey to come to the counter and speak to me. He knew I was there but chose to ignore me for about 15 minutes. When he finally did communicate it was short, rude and about 20 feet away from me.

I had asked my sales person how much it would cost to have a new couch delivered to me and was told $59.00. I asked if they would bring the damaged one back for that price and he said they would. My husband and I had hauled the original one and I could hardly lift it so it was worth paying to have one delivered and the damaged one taken back.

However, within the next 10 minutes I was told by Jim Morgan that I could not pay to have one delivered and the damaged one picked up because I had originally picked it up so I would have to bring it back,
I asked to be allowed to inspect a different one for damage before we hauled that one back and found there were none and was told that I would not be allowed to inspect any until I brought the damaged one back.
The staff is nice and polite. The management is impossible, rude, unreasonable and just not nice. They now have one very unhappy customer that hopes to warn others through services such as this before they have to go through what I have been through.

Beware of Warehouse Furniture in Nashville.
