We signed up with this company like most vendors to increase our income and have an additional presence in front of engaged couples. We saw that there were over 100 brides who needed services but nothing specific. Not one of them said they need a florist, officiant or even a DJ. It was just listed real general. The vendors sign up with the promise of pay 6 months now if, you book nothing we will give you 6 months for free. After 5 days, an account executive name Haley Popejoy, calls and says welcome and asks how it's going. We let her know that even being on the site for a short period of time we have not receieved one response back after sending around 40 emails out. She says I see that you sent them out but, "our" brides take longer to respond. She further says they are not like Wedding Wire and brides from The Knot. We never mentioned those companies. Now, if you are a professional and have been seasoned in the industry for awhile you know that this is their scam. As soon as I heard that I said ok! I know that with lead generated companies like Wedding Wire and The Knot within the first day you get responses especially within the first week. Here it is week two and no responses still from www.wedding.com. We called the company for 4 days straight. No response or did someone even pick up the phone. Finally, Haley Popejoy calls. After, a 14 minute phone call of us saying in mulitple ways that we want a refund she continues to say that you get no money back according to the terms and conditions. It was not until after we threatened legal action did she comply but, only refunding 5 months. She claimed that the Manager (who she said would not get on the phone and Haley Popejoy would not give her last name only Elina) was not available to speak with. We are still awaiting the refund which was stated we would received within 3 days. This is one company that has to be exposed. If you are a wedding industry company that has spent a lot of money to build up your business to bounce back in this economy do not use wedding.com aka www.wedding.com or a scammer named Haley Popejoy who takes advantage of you, the small business owner. We wish everyone the best in the their advertising needs and research and be careful out there.
