Customer Service with Wells Fargo dealer services is terrible. I completely agree with half of the last statement of the previous writeup and I totally agree with the main author. Those people at wells fargo dealer services are snakes. They give assumptions to state that vehicle  is hidden and they cant find it. Duh, its a car and supposed to mobile. They repo vehicle due to communication breakdown between the responsible party and the person who was using the vehicle. Fact is They were paid fully with cashiers check and they are unable to locate it even with a tracking number. Later they admit to having it and won't process it. I was able to get a co-signer and take a 12k 14% loan financed with predatory lender wells fargo dealer services into a 5k loan at 7% interest. The new lender sent check for payoff and wells fargo will not give any details seyurrounding this issue. These people don't realize they will be terribly embarassed in the coming weeks as I've taken meticously detailed notes on who spoke, what was said, demanor of the associates. They do have some illegal practices that will be brought to the public quite soon in the form of a lawsuit. We'll let them deal with that.

You default..you get your car reposessed

When you got the loan you made a legal agreement to make payments for a specific amount on a specific day every month.  There were no conditions in your loan you only had to do that if you could or that you could skip payments if you didn't have the money.  You also agreed that if you became delinquent(yes 6 days is delinquent) that they had the right to reposess their car.  Oh I said their car..yep.  Until you have paid off the car it is not yours.  Interesting how you didn't seem to have a problem with this when they agreed to loan you the several thousand dollars in return for a secured interest in the car.

However, even with that they gave you a deferment to try and help you out.  But you were late just two months later.  This may come as a shock to you but they are not a charity.  With your payment history they obviously felt that you were not going to be able to make all of your payments, so in order to cut the losses they decided to reposess your car.

But this is only the beginning.  If you fail to pay off your car, they are required by law to sell your car at auction and deduct the money from your balance.  However, at auction you will get anywhere from about one-third to one-half of what the car is worth.  So you will still have a balance owed.  If you fail to pay off this balance they will turn you over to collections.  If you still fail to make the payments they can file suit against you where you will have a judgement placed on your record.

Oh and before you start to wonder if other finance companies would treat you the same way.  The answer is yes.   In fact when you find out the companies you get to deal with now because of a reposession on your credit record you will think that Wells Fargo was the best company out there.  Just some highlights include the lenders you will deal with putting a GPS tracking device in your car.  This enables them to disable your car if you are even a day late and if you become a few days late they will..just like Wells Fargo reposess your car.  Not to mention the double digit interest rates you will end up with.
