Werner Ladder ripoff Denied that collapse of aluminum stepladder was their fault. I feel this is an unsafe product Greenville Pennsylvania
*Consumer Suggestion: Are There Recalls On This Ladder?
I was standing on the fourth step of a six foot Werner aluminum ladder when it buckled under me resulting in a nasty fall onto a cement floor. I weigh 118 pounds, was on a level floor holding one end of a light 1 by 9 inch board. I sent pictures of the ladder to the company per their request and they denied any problem with the ladder and offered a $75 discount on a new ladder if I signed a form releasing them from any liability (how dumb do they think I am) I feel this is an unsafe product and advise all to never purchase an aluminum stepladder made by Werner.

#1 Consumer Suggestion
Are There Recalls On This Ladder?

Have you done a search to see if there have been any recalls on this particular ladder or with this particular company? If not, contact your local OSHA and see if they have a contact for unsafe products, such as ladders. I'm betting this wasn't the only ladder made by this company that has malfunctioned. Companies such as Consumer Reports might be another avenue to check.
