Werner Attic Ladders are Defective but Werner will not honor their product warranties.  I was using my Werner Model S2010, Mark 3 Steel attic ladder when it failed catastrophically throwing me 6 feet to the ground.  I sustained bruises and muscle sprains and strains but fortunately no broken  bones.  However, when contacting Werner, they informed me they had already been sued for this defective ladder and since they had settled the lawsuit, they weren't going to provide any relief for later failures or damage.  Somehow Werner avoided reclalling this defective product which is what should ahve happened.  As a result we are all out of luck getting a replacement or damages for injuries.

Don't purchase Werner products as you are not protected if you are injured by their defective products.
