To anyone that is looking to register for entry in this school.

Read all of the forms you are going to be signing. Make sure the school is going to be a good fit for your needs. At first this school was a good fit for my needs. After almost two years, my available time for study has been reduced dramatically by life events. Be aware that the school uses mentors (babysitters) to keep track of your education advancement. With that said, I had always informed my mentor of any circumstances that may impede on my study time. At the start of my last term, I informed my mentor of some changes in my life that will have a drastic effect on my time. The mentor said to keep her informed and try to continue as best as I could. The changes in my time were so drastic that I could not maintain the flow of work needed to progress in my studies. As time went on the mentor began to show signs of irritation with my lack of progress. Our conversations began to show signs of the mentor wanting to remove me from her list of students assigned to her. It got to the point where the mentor point blank said I should withdrawal from classes until such time that I could continue in a more timely fashion. So, at her behest, I agreed to the withdrawal, thinking that I could pick back up after my time constraints are reduced. This is where financial aid took over and started to show the greed of the school. I have been on student loans the whole time at this school. The financial aid office has been good at keeping the funding flowing as long as I was a student in good standing. Now that I was withdrawing from classes, they had to adjust my funding. I received an email from the Bursar (financial aid office) stating that they had adjusted my funding and I now owed them over one thousand dollars for the prorated length of time I was enrolled in classes. After a couple of phone calls, at times I could call them, I now have been threatened with outside collection services getting involved for the amount owed. I am now faced with a situation that I did not ask for and I was only following the advice of the school representative assigned to me.

Please be mindful of the wording used in the documents you will be looking at when considering enrolling in this school. Make sure you can hold up to the demand for your time. Don’t get led on that you can take as much time as you need to complete the classwork. If you do withdrawal from the school, make sure you don’t do it in the middle of a term.

Regretting ever enrolled in WGU
