WhiteSmoke sells writing software on the internet. The company has several websites that advertise a software product that claims to improve one's writing. The company charged me 137.89 for the software but after I clicked through the site I did not get confirmation.

I assumed that the sale did not go through because I got no e-mail confirmation so I sent it through 2 more times on the same credit card (three total) and one more time on another credit card. My total charged is 551.56 and I received no product and my repeated attempts to get my money back have met with no success. The company is nothing but a scam with a web site that takes people's money.

As one of the leading companies in the field today, it is of crucial importance to us to act in compliance with all applicable laws.
Our software operates under the highest standards and we invest great efforts to make sure the registration process is professional, clear and user friendly.
Our software and registration process are being tested daily under strict rules and limitations.

At the end of the registration process the user receives on-line confirmation regarding the payment and the program. In addition, the user receives confirmation emails from both WhiteSmoke and the billing agent that processed the payment.
Since the emails are sent to every user who purchases our product in any given time or place, we can only conclude that either the email address entered by the user during the registration process was wrong or misspelled or that the emails that were sent to him were mistakenly categorized as spam.

Moving forward - Our support and Payments teams are answering, usually within 24 hours, all emails sent to the following addresses: support@whitesmoke.com; Payments@whitesmoke.com and through the Support Form at: http://www.whitesmoke.com/support.html
We have an official refund policy refunding the full amount of purchase within 30 days from date of purchase.

In his report, the user Christian, did not mention any details that may allow us to locate him in our records and check the status of his order. We are also unable to locate him in our mail management system in order to check his complaint that we, allegedly, did not reply to his emails.

With all that being said we suggest that the user, Christian, contact us directly and immidiately at: http://www.whitesmoke.com/support.html with relevant details like email address so we will be able to contact him and offer him a full refund for all his purchases.

WhiteSmoke: A big scam company and useless software

Thanks Christian for your report. Unfortunately I saw the complaints against WhiteSmoke after I had purchased the software and got into the same dilemma like many others. While I paid the full amount after the 75% special discount offer through Paypal, I received nothing: no activation key, no download links, no emails, nothing.. and no response from the sales or support teams.

I raised the issue with Paypal and asked them to claim my funds that was paid to non responsive and a group of scam artists. I'm not sure if Paypal is going to seriously look into this case, but I believe I've lost my money ($99) with Whitesmoke :(

Warning: never buy anything from WhiteSmoke, and make sure to always visit this invaluable web site before engaging yourself with any suspicious party or seller.
