The first week of March 2012, I turned over a group of business to business collections of over $20000. which would be fairly easy to collect. (The clients were all good people who owed because their vendor had failed to pay freight charges.) WCG got right on it and did a good job collecting; much of the money came in within 2 weeks. Some came directly to my office, but most was sent to WCG.
The sales person and I communicated several times and we kept each other appraised of the money that came to both locations; some for the full amount, but most at a lower agreed amount.
WCG claims they remit "on the 30th day of the month following collection", So anything received by WCG any day in March 1 thru March 31 would be paid to me on April 30th; April collections would be sent to me May 30th etc.
When I inquired about a check at the end of April, they said the clock had been a re-set due to some (vague reason) and I didn't ask for much explanation anyway.
But at the end of May, I expected to be paid what their website showed due me and all in agreement on that part. When I inquired about the May 30th check (for several thousands of dollars, most collected in March and early April) I was assured it was sent as promised. Several calls and broken commitments later, it still hasn't shown up (this end of day June 8th, 10 days after it was supposed to have been sent.)
When it didn't show on the 6th day, the sales person still claimed it had gone out May 30th.
When it didn't show on the 7th day, she said it went out 1 day late. (You'll get it tomorrow)
When it didn't show on the 8th day, she said it went out 3 days late. (You'll get it tomorrow)
When it didn't show on the 9th day, she said it went out yesterday. (You'll get it tomorrow)
When it didn't show on the 10th day, I asked for the owner and got Sandi, wife of owner.
After 15 minutes of giving the same mis-information the sales person gave, Sandi eventually said they have a "precise process" for remits that remits over $5000. can take several days after the check is signed by the owners of the company.
Nothing in their "precise process" can tell what day a check was actually sent.
SURPRISE AGAIN! The amount of the check will be less than $5000. so never mind about the (over $5000. delay explanation) on what she now refers to as the "first check".
The sales person asked for additional business and I originally thought that I'd give it, but decided to wait when they delayed sending the April check. This company and their explanations seem very shakey.

Followup on payment from WCG
AUTHOR: Joe - (United States of America)
SUBMITTED: Tuesday, June 12, 2012
This is a followup to the report I wrote titled "You might need a collector to get your money from WCG" The next business day after writing the report, my check did arrived from WCG. It arrived via regular US mail so it had been sent before I wrote the report.
All the info I reported is true and very fairly portrayed, except for the remark about needing another collector to get my money. My report was filed immediatley after being condescended to by someone at WCG who was not the boss and felt no need to spread honey.
Apparantly, when WCG checks are written they do not go out until a few days later. The sales person at WCG apparantly did not know this and therefore my expectations were to receive a check in 3-5 days from the 30th, not in 11 days.
Today I spoke with the owner Robert Williams, and he assured me that remaining funds (not due to me until next month) will be sent as they should be; likely a few days after June 30th.
All told WCG did get very quick payment results from the same people who had delayed me for several weeks prior.
