Wired Plastic FRAUDULENTLY advertises customers utilizing direct deposit as having checking accounts where funds can be debited from it. Never since I have been taken in by them have I received any CHECKS.

On several occasions I have contacted Wired Plastic's Customer Service Department regarding my so called "checking account" only to be hung up on; blatently lied to; given incorrect information but most of all just spoken to in the most rudest and unprofessional manner there is.

Wired Plastic has no problem with deducting their so called $6.00 plus "maintenance fee" per month for services however, I'm still confused as to what they're maintaining since Customer Service seems to be dumber than a Colony of Idiots.

Customer Service enjoys tooting their adherence according to federal guidelines when customers attempt to bring resolution to a situation however, government can't be that blind by allowing their deceptive, deceitful and darn right unethical practic continue - all in the name of a profit.

Wired Plastic should be shut down since it's obvious their customers mean nothing!

I think you've misunderstood their services....

From all the information on their website, paper checks are available online. They do not send check books to account holders.

You go online and fill in a form for a check to be mailed to a payee. They do charge a separate fee for that service.

There is quite an extensive Q&A section, which is where I found this information.

YOU WON'T GET CHECKS...

AUTHOR: Sherri - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, March 19, 2006

Wired Plastic and other "prepaid debit cards" can be used as a "checkless checking account"; i.e, you can have your payroll check deposited to the account and you can use the card for Point of Sale, ATM, bill payment, or anywhere that accepts Visa and Mastercard. But they are not conventional checking accounts. These type cards are marketed to people who can't get a conventional credit card, or is unable to open a bank account due to being in Chexsystems or Telecheck. The fees associated with this type card ARE predatory. You have to weigh the convenience of having a CheckCard/ATM card to use versus the cost.

If for some reason you are in Chexsystems, there are options other than Wired Plastic and other "checkless checking accounts." Many banks are offering second chance checking. There are numerous web sites that you can research this.

Good luck.

Wired plastic is a great company, so far my bills get paid on time and they are just wonderful. This card helps me save money and I don't see how anyone can say they are ripoffs, I would recommend this card to anyone.
