I have notified WQ Long Distance at 1-800-385-1968 several times to discontinue my phone service. They do not have a live person to answer the phone. The charge per month is $59.78.

I have contacted the payment center and they were of no help, they told me that they could not do anything for me. They did give me the cutomer service number that I already have called. Left several messages but no response. However the money is still coming out of my checking.

#2 UPDATE EX-employee responds

This Company is a Scam

AUTHOR: Jessica - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 11, 2006

Wow I don't really understand why Kandice is defending this company so much. I used to work in the QX Telecom department. I will tell you that they are not a reputable company at all regardless of what Kandice, who is obviously an employee, tells you. When I worked there they had live people answering the phones. Half the time we could not find the recordings of the people agreeing to the card. Also we would not offer to look for the recording unless seggested by the consumer.

They also would only refund a certain number of months and not the full amount. Mastercard stopped letting the company charge on their cards and Visa was threatening to do the same. So you know what they did, they changed the name of the company so they could again charge both Visa and Mastercards.

They have a sister company on the east coast with which they share/launder cc info with as well. That is illegal. The company has been fined many many times for millions of dollars and even sued by ex employees. Some of the products they sell/ sold such as Bloussant are not allowed to be sold anymore due to false claims and advertisements. They also hire their employees/ telemarketers for their advertising, claiming to have used the products even if they haven't.

So please Kandice spare me. You have no clue what you are talking about, and are obviously easily manipulated. These big companies take advantage of people. It's sad that you are here defending them.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

Call YOUR Bank

AUTHOR: Kandice - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, June 27, 2006

Why don't you call your bank and put a stop payment on the charge?! Oh and stop buying stuff from infomercials that you don't need. The reason why you are still being billed is because YOU have not called your bank and YOU said "yes" when the person asked you if you would like to try the telephone card, free for thirty days. There are STRICT guidelines that they MUST follow when offering these useless items to customers, however, customers DON'T listen when the person is speaking and then the customer gets upset when they are charged for something, they claim, they never wanted. Guess what, a tape could be played back for you and anyone else that would have you agreeing to try the phone card and anything else that was offered to you. Let me guess, you bought slimming pants or some alarm for your doors. Don't blame them because you said "yes". They know that you aren't listening so the next time you are up late and as I can see from the time of your posting you are up late or early (depending on how you view it) and have to have that new gadget on tv that will revolutionize your world listen to what they are saying and then you won't have this problem. My suggestion is that you ask that they repeat what they have just said if it is unclear to you or don't buy anything off the tv anymore. No one forced you to say "yes" and repeat the last four digits of your credit card number, you did that all on your own.
