“ Well just to give you an idea with our organic product in the first 30 days, our target is actually ZERO, you get  Zero…. We TYPICALLY don’t see any action the first 30 days…within the first 60 days, our target is TWO and the first 90 days our target is SIX” -------- Yodle customer service manager AFTER I signed up.

I was NEVER told this before I signed up!!!

Total Cost:                                                           $40 -  $60 per month

After watching their demo and talking to a sales person from Yodle, an internet marketing company/SEO, etc, I decided to sign up and give them a shot...

They told me that they could increase my business quickly and start generating leads for my company immediately... I found this out to be incorrect later on.

The website and the sales rep told me that they would build me a professional website geared towards generating leads and that they would post my business on 40+ business directories online...

The website that they built was the cheapest looking website that I have ever seen in my life. The website was created from a template. After I signed up, Yodle told me that they only have about 2 or 3 templates that I could choose from. Both of them were UGLY. It seemed like Yodle was trying to give me the cheapest quality site that Yodle could get a hand so Yodle could maximize their profits.  The issues with the website were:

1.) The content was completely wrong and it didn't represent my business accurately or how I wanted it represented. Yodle NEVER bothered to submit the content to me for approval. Instead, Yodle published the content and let it show up across the internet.

2.) The pictures that Yodle used on the website were extremely dated. They used pictures of products that I am pretty sure were well over 20 years. Also the products in the pictures looked cheap.  I run an alarm/ home automation company that uses the highest quality products on the market now. Yodle used generic pictures of low end products that I NEVER approved.

3.) Yodle only provided me with about 3 layout options for the website.

4.) Yodle presented me with a website that contained only 2 pages.

5.) Yodle picked a domain name to use for my website WITHOUT asking if I even liked the domain name. Yodle picked the domain name: securitycompanyunion.com  How in the h*ll do I market that ? Why would I want my website to appear across the internet with that domain name ?

There are thousands of “Free Website Templates”  on the internet. Yodle could get access to these templates for little to no charge. Yodle understands the issue and is fully capable in my opinion of solving the problem for little cost. However, Yodle choses to not fix the problem.  I find this to be beyond offensive as a customer when a business can fix an issue for a customer but decides against it. I find this to be a big “FU” to the customer.

Aside from the website issues, Yodle submitted my website to 40+. Yodle never bothered asking for my opinion on the content prior to submitting.  There were also inaccuracies with the content submitted.

I was billed for Yodle on 02-16 and I had a call on I think 02-18. When I saw the quality of the  website that Yodle built for me. I decided that I Yodle wasn’t for me.  I told the set up individual that the website needed to be fixed or else I don’t want to move forward with Yodle. They told me that they will move the set up until Friday 02-20. Friday came and absolutely nothing was fixed with my website. Yodle did not deliver a professional quality website.

During the sales process, I was sold on the fact that Yodle would quickly start generating leads for my business. When I complained about the low quality website and inquired about the lead estimates for yodle, the manager told me that I should expect the website to generate 6 leads [NOT SALES] in the first 90 days. 6 LEADS [ NOT SALES] for about $600 [3 months]. There was no guarantee that those leads would be of any quality. I received one call from a spam telemarketer through Yodle. If Yodle told me this as an expectation, I would not have even bothered to sign up !!!

After hearing the low production expectation and seeing the low quality website template, I decided to cancel YODLE. I had two failed set up calls over the course of 4 days after being billed by Yodle.  YODLE REFUSED TO REFUND MY MONEY and BILLED ME FOR THE ENTIRE MONTH !!!

Overall, I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU STAY AWAY FROM YODLE!!

I actually am doing business with yodle it took around 90 days for the clients to start Coming in but it is paying for itself. I know that there reading a script when giving the presentation buts its a lot of information so thats to be expected. So they make sure your aware your not fully up into the 4th month its a pretty long presentation maybe u missed it. And also they said go daddy 1t1.com and angies list so your not actually naming the correct companies and the domain is chosen by your area and service maybe you had a bad experience because clearly you missed alot of information that was read to you and lastly they said the sites was to get ppl to call you directly if you want a more stylish website they advised me that I can keep my current site and they would add a widget to my site by the way my clientele has increased by 48% I actually need to hire an employee first time for everything I can't be happier sorry u had a tough time all I'm saying is everything your complaining about was explained clear as day its a scripted presentation that way all there clients receive the same information and they told me they were recording the call when explaining about the 6 month CONTRACT I was agreeing too

I was NEVER told this before I signed up!!!

Yodle uses their own phone number when they post your ONLINE business directories NOT my BUSINESS number. It has been a nightmare for me getting my online business directories back. I have to email every single website: Yahoo, Bing, Google and ask them to set up a new listing because Yodle hasn't removed my listing.
