His is the break down: AHS only has a limited amount of companies that they work with. The people working for them are ignorant and dont know what they are doing. I ended up waiting 2 weeks for heat and hot water. AHS does not care how long it takes to fix anything. They will fix it but it will take for ever.

I bought a condo in Grand Ledge MI and part of the deal was I was going to get a 1 year warranty on all appliances. So I did not buy this service, but I did pay more for the house since I was getting the service.
I noticed right of the back of moving in that the Hot water heater had to be on full blast to have hot water. I mentioned this to my partner and he said whatever. So I let it be. We never had a problem with running out of hot water.
Then, 10 months later I noticed that our hot water was running out. I contacted AHS and they said they would send someone out. I took the day off, and the guy never came. Turns out he also owns his own snow removal co. and we had lots of snow that night, so he was busy dealing with that. I contacted AHS and they said they had no one else they could send but that they would contact him. 3 days later I get a call from the guy saying he is so sorry and that he forgot and wants to come out. So, I say ok. He shows up and cleans some stuff and says he does not know whats wrong but thinks it should be ok. He says give it a few days and then call him. Then he says he needs a check for $60. I was like why? Turns out there is a deductible that I did not know of. So Im mad but pay.
That night it goes out, so I call him directly. He says he will do some research and contact me. He never contacts me. A few days later I have no heat. So I call AHS and say hey I need you out here. It turns out that the water heater also heats the furnace so they want to send out the same guy. Im like NO!!!! They say they have to and contact him. He says, I dont know whats wrong with it and I dont want to deal with it. ( I should note he still works for AHS) So AHS decides that my first case was plumbing so they will make a new case under heating. Also they will mark it as an emergency. So a guy shows up and tells me whats wrong. However he cant fix it because the original order is still in and he would be "stealing" the other guys job. He leaves. I call AHS and say whats up. They say they will call the guy who can fix it and get back with me. They never do. A day goes by and I call AHS. They say we are waiting. I finally say, can I just find someone to fix it and pay for it. Then I will send in a bill and AHS will reimburse me. They say sure!!!!!! I call in a guy, he comes out, tells me whats wrong, has a mental break down, REALLY, and leaves. (thats a different story)
So I call AHS and am like wtf!!!! I want heat and I want it now!!!! They say they will reimburse me up to 150 for a portable heater. Still waiting for that check. They get ahold of the Original guy, who said he could fix it finally and says he needs to order the part. I ended up waiting a week for the part to come in and someone come put it in.
I am glad that I waited the 2 weeks because I think if I had found someone and paid for it, AHS would come up with some reason to not pay me back!!!
AHS IS NOT WORTH IT!!!
