Overcharged for taxes and port of call fees: $750. We booked a Princess Cruise through CheapCruises.com aka World Travel Holdings. We were quoted $850 each for two people for cruise fees for a total of $1,648.00. We were charged $1,471.76 for taxes, fees, port expenses and charges.

Upon review of the current correct taxes, fees, port expenses and charges on the Princess website, charges should have been a total of $721.75. We were charged a $1,471.75. This is an over charge of $721.75. I attempted for over three hours and two separate phone calls including speaking to a supervisor who said the charges were correct.

They added the difference of the sale price (quoted to me) and the actual price of the cruise (from Princess) to the taxes and port charges. I believe this to be an unfair business practice and tax fraud.
