24 hour fitness Breach of written contract Somewhere California
*Consumer Comment: Same breach of contract issue here
*Consumer Comment: Lifetime Membership
*Consumer Comment: RE: Breach of Contract/False Advertising
I recently received a renewal notice from 24hour fitness, wherein they increased my yearly membership dues by 200 percent in violation of my lifetime contract that was entered into in 2004 or 2005. I'm looking for a remedy either at law or equity and I'm seeking a class of members with similar claims. This is a blatant breach that no one should tolerate as a matter of principle.

Same breach of contract issue here

I, along with my wife also have a Lifetime membership since 2006 and have gotten an increase two folds. When we signed the contract, the member service clearly stated that in the lifetime of our membership are we to incur any changes in our fees. This is a total breach in business contract. I hope we, lifetime members who have been violated by breach of contract, can get a Class A lawsuit against this company.

Lifetime Membership

I also have the same situation. I joined in 2006 which I paid $700 for initial 3 years and they offered $49/year for life after, but they increased my membership to $149/year + tax which I think that is ridiculous. I called 24 hour fitness but they said the contract states that they have right to increase the renewal fee. Does anyone still keep the original contract by any chance? I'm not sure if they changed any wording from the contract I can access online, but I couldn't find my original contract anymore :(

I have the same issue with 24 hour fitness. They advertised the Lifetime membership and is not honoring it. When I called them, they were prepared to rebuttal all these cases with a prewritten speech.
