I have had a Bank of America Credit card since June 2004. Using it on and off, never being late. For the past 6 months I had a $0.00 balance for which I was proud of. My limit was increased from $4000.00 to $65000.00 in June/July 2006. This credit card was my back up in case I needed emergency money. Today, August 1st, 2006 I needed money desperately to pay for my mortgage, and my investment mortgage. I went to a branch of Bank of America to request a Cash Advance, only to find that those f***ers have closed my account for no apparent reason. Inactivity they claimed when I called the credit department.
This adds up to the reason why I HATE BANK OF AMERICA!!!! There is no customer service and no way they would help. This was my last resource.

If you read your terms and agreement a bank can close a credit card due to inactivity, they don't have to tell you, you don't own the card and it costs money to maintain the account even when not in use. The other issue of not being able to use your card because you had to pay your mortgage is quite concerning. First signs of financial difficulty is when the mortgage get paid by credit card.
