I have included the text from bocajava's website about their Connoisseur Club below. What they don't mention is that you may or may not recieve their e-mails, but that's your fault, not theirs. They also lose track of accounts, cancellation requests and are harder to quit than AOL.
A couple months ago, after I had tried to cancel for the second time (after fulfilling my obligation), I receieved another shipment, with no advance warning. On the phone, I was told to accept the shipment with their compliments that it was a mistake. Only problem was, they charged my credit card for this "complimentary" shipment.
Yesterday, I received yet another shipment, with none of the advanced warning again. I tried to log on to my account on their website, but NO SUCH ACCOUNT EXISTS. Then I spend a 1/2 hour on the phone waiting to talk to a "customer service" representative, only to be told that everything is automated, and they have no record of me asking for cancellation, or the "complimentary" shipment, and that I must have done something wrong to not have gotten the Automated e-mails or stopped the shipment.
These people are a bunch of crooks who should be selling Amway or working the AOL phones, not purporting to help people. And the coffee ain't that grand either.

Paul, your "retort" (if it can be accurately coined that) was so preposterous and predictably canned that I almost didn't bother to reply. But it's a slow news day, so why not...
Your blathering about me being a Boca Java employee (blah, blah, blah....you complainers all say the same thing) has become the playbook for the ignorant among the complainers on this site. I seriously doubt that Boca Java has an Indiana-based employee ANYWHERE, since its operations are located in Jacksonville, FL (information obtained from its website...in case you wondered how I knew that).
I work for a major telecom here in Indiana...and I am 2 quarters from my doctorate in public policy - so don't even attempt to compare intellects or try to effect justification for your rants about Boca Java. You state that Boca Java has had many complaints about their service - yet yours is one of a whopping TWO complaints about the company in this forum. That designates the credibility of your argument somewhere between that of Barry Bonds and that of Patrick Kennedy.
My advice to you is as follows: cease the whining. You obviously did not take careful steps to cancel your membership - so don't cry about it now. And think twice about challenging someone who can, and did, take you to the woodshed when an intelligent debate is at hand. Consider it a learning experience and move forward into maturity.

Nice to know that Boca Java's people patrol this website every once in a while... Almost as often as they worry about customer service. The thing is, if it was just me whining, then why did you bother? The company has numerous complaints like mine - and they choose to ignore or brush over all of them. Why do I know that you must be one of their shills? Because you offer the same suggestions they did - without actually paying attention to the complaint.
You can tell me to take a course in personal responsibility all you want, but, pointing out that, "if you wish to cancel your service, Boca Java provides a customer service number," after I'va already made it clear that, "On the phone, I was told to accept the shipment with their compliments that it was a mistake....I spend a 1/2 hour on the phone waiting to talk to a "customer service" representative, only to be told that everything is automated" If they can't get their d**n ducks in a row, why do they expect me to?

I have been a Boca Java Silver member for some time now. This company sells fantastic coffee. They ship so quickly that I receive my shipments in as little as one business day. They allow their customers to schedule shipments every 12 weeks, if desired - and they let YOU decide when you want to receive your next shipment, with no minimum to buy.
Regarding your rant about the emails, that excuse is tantamount to the "my check is in the mail" or "I didn't get my bill" excuse that lazy bums use to try to weasel out of paying their charges. I have received every email they have promised to send - as promised.
Now, if you wish to cancel your service, Boca Java provides a customer service number - just as Gevalia does. If you weren't responsible enough to write down the details of your cancellation for confirmation, then perhaps you should take a course in self-ownership.
