Chrysler ripoff Consumer fraud warranty rip-off Auburn Hills Maine

On the 14th of Nov. 02 we took our 2000 Durango in to have the passenger side ball joint repaired. It was noted to be faulty by Big O Tire Company and my wife was advised not to drive the vehicle until repairs could be made. When we purchased the vehicle we purchased a 7 year extended warranty for approx. $400.00. It was covered under the manufactures 3 year 36,000 mile warranty.

When we took the vehile in for repair, we were advised that the upper ball joint was obviously faulty and needed replacement. We then found out that we had to pay for a complete alignment after the repairs were done. It was not our fault that the ball joint was faulty in the first place so why should we have to pay more for repairs not of our doing? They also said that the lower ball joint was withing specs. (Who's specs I never did find out.) I concerns me greatly as ball joints when they fail could cause a fatal accident. It would seem to me that Chrysler would replace ANY faulty parts and repair all problems.
