CIC Credit Monitoring Service ripoff and liars Nationwide

Imagine my surprise, when, wanting to cancel my CIC membership, but not having any contact info (imagine that!!) I did a google search and turned up all of this info on this company.

I too signed up for my free 30 day trial membership, but didn't know they were just going to start taking money out of my account without me authorizing it!

After reading all of the postings on Rip-Off.com, I called the company to cancel. The first woman I spoke with told me their computers were down and wouldn't be able to cancel my membership until the next day. This seamed very convenient to me, so 2 minutes later I called back and they cancelled my membership.

I saved the e-mail confirmation the company sent me. I also contacted their company by e-mail and sent a follow up letter confirming my cancellation. This way I have date and time stamped proof that I tried to cancel. That way when I continue to get charged (which by the info on this web site, I think will happen!)I can take legal action.

Thanks so much for everyone posting about this company. If not, I would have never realized what I got myself into!!!
