I applied for a warranty quote from them about 2 months ago. I also applied to 3 other companies as well. All called me back within 24 hr. I received my quotes from everyone else except for Continental. Finally got a call back a day later and I had a guy give me a crazy quote. Explained to him that I received the follow quotes etc.... "Can you do better" I asked nicely? The man said no I can't but started to rant and rave about why I should go with CW and blah blah blah. I explained nicely that I'm in sales and I understand what you are doing, I don't mean to cut you off but I'm not interested and please take me off your list. Thanks and have a good day.

Well, if it wasn't just 1 hr later, I get a second call from the same company. This time someone different. I told the guy the samething. He apoligized and he hung up. Less then 30 min. later a 3rd call comes in. Its them again with a different rep on the other line. Now I got a little p---ed off. This time I told them to stop calling me and I want my info off there list. This guy didn't get it. So I hung up. 2 hrs. later, a 4th phone call and its now this guy Joe somethin his last name, can't remember, but he was a class act "LOSER" this guy just wouldn't listen to me, telling me they are the best warranty company and that why go with X company when were better, BLAH BLAH BLAH!!! I tried to be nice but he insulted me by calling me an idiot for going with another company and why do I waste his time. So of course any real man with some b--ls would have done the only thing he can while on the phone. I gave him a piece of my mind and told him that I will sue the company for harrasment. These guy's are a joke. Don't ever do business with them, they will screw you out of your money. Best part is, I have them recorded. The law suite is already in affect. SUCKERS!!!

Are you saying that there were 4 quote requests in your system which is why it called 4 times?

You're telling us that all four people were rude because they have a sense of pride in their product?

I had a similar experience with your company and I don't even know how I was added to your system because I hadn't even bought the car that I test drove the week before.

What I find hiliarious is how you talk about your personal experience over the years and how you warned people about Warranty USA, Platinum Warranty, Warranty Gold, E Warranty Solutions and One Source. The person complaining never even mentioned who he requested quotes from. So half of your response was never addressed the person's complaint.

It's not always about the product but also about your presentation. Maybe your sales team should take lessons on being tactful rather than tasteless. Nobody wants to get off the phone feeling violated and needing a refill on blood pressure medication.

If you're trying to sue a company for calling you four times, you're waisting your time. I'm not sure an attorney of any kind would actually take your case. I'm pretty sure that a judge would throw the case out as well.

By the way,

it's EFFECT with an E, not an A. But I'm sure you knew that.

I do apologize for what sounds like a bad experience with the sales department of my company. It sounds like to me that when you asked to be taken off the list the representative failed to tell you how that works. We update our system every evening with declines and people requesting that the application they submitted be removed from our database. So after you declined we probably had a second application in this system that was called, I guarantee the next day you didn't recieve any phone calls, but it takes 24 hours to update.

As far as people being rude, being in sales you must realize that if someone committs their life to selling a product that a sense of pride develops in your product. That is no excuse for misconduct and we really strive to monitor calls and do away with any rude or brash tactics on our phones. We also as a business put our sales staff through intense training about the differences our product and other companies in the industry. This information is not to disparage competitors, it is to inform customers on some major differences that are not so easy to recognize just by hearing two sales pitches and two prices. I will say that when you refer to our quote as "crazy", I imagine you felt we were higher than your other quotes. My question is does that make the product inferior?

Anyone reading this I can only tell you from my personal experience that over the years my company has weathered a lot of competitors and it's always the same story.

In 2001 Warranty USA and Platinum Warranty Corporation were way cheaper than us. They even had coverage up to 125,000 miles and no deductible. I then warned people that those companies were very risky and a year later they went bankrupt taking hundreds of thousands of peoples money with them. In 2003, Warranty Gold and E Warranty Solutions and One Source Auto Warranty were the major players in the field. $900 warranties, unlimited mileage, PLATINUM Bumper to Bumper plans for vehicles over 80,000 miles. Once again I warned people, if the insurance company that backs the product isn't strong the plan and the price don't matter and once again I read emails about us being pushy and way over priced and once again, three more bankrupt companies.

Last year we warned consumers about a large amount of warranty providers in Missouri who sprung up offering $1,400 warranties, Bumper to Bumper. Dealer Services, National Auto Warranty to name a few. I have personally warned over a thousand consumers about these companies and now the Attorney General is suing these businesses for product misrepresentation and it is highly likely he will shut them down.

Yet though all of these years we still stay in business paying claims. We are not a RIP OFF, we are a company in a industry that can be very dangerous financially. We will keep paying claims and being a strong warranty company for many years to come becuase we protect who we enroll and we protect the clients who have our warranty by not letting just any used car sign up.
