Electrolux Frigidaire My Mom's stove caught on fire and now they are ignoring my calls about fixing or replacing Mississauga Ontario

My mother bought a Frigidaire coil top stove at Leons appliance centre in Winnipeg in October of 2011. On November 19, 2014 the wiring in the top console caught fire and the fire department was called.

We finally had a technician ( Zeno ) out to the house on November 28, 2014 from Midland Appliance. He said that it was a manufacturers defect and that the stove should be replaced alltogether. He sent in his report to Frigidaire/Electolux in Mississauga, Ontario.

This report has been sent to Frigidaire three different times to Muma and Nadra and they keep saying that they have not received anything.

My mom now has been without a stove since November 19, 2014. Today is December 16, 2014. Talk about a run around. Now I am talking to Mario at Frigidaire/Electrolux. And he has put me on hold for the last 35 min. I am really starting to wonder about the level of customer service in Canada. Now he is telling me that they will replace the parts but I have to pay for the Tech to come out and do the work.

This is after I was told that if it was a Manufacturers defect that is would be fixed free of charge. How is that for a Merry Christmas. My mother has always done much baking before the holidays, not this year. I am sure that it will take another week or two to get the parts and have Zeno ( the tech ) come out and do the work.

Well here we go again.

Just as I thought would happen. Frigidaire sent the parts out to my mother's place on Friday Dec 19/2014. The Tech (Zeno) came out on Monday Dec.22/2014. And when he opened the boxes of parts they failed to send the wiring harness. It is now Tuesday Dec 23/2014 and now I am getting the run around again. Never Never will I ever buy any product from Electralux or Frigidaire and I will warn everyone I can. If they would have sent over a new stove, which is what the tech said should be done, because of the damage that was done by the fire. This would have been resolved weeks ago. I am not sure when other people start their Christmas cooking for a dinner on Christmas eve. I am sure that nothing will be cooked here this year. I would like to thank Frigidaire and Electralux for this experiance. I really hope that nobody else has to deal with this.

I just got word that they are now going to cover all costs for the repairs. This includes the parts and the labour. Will update again when I find out how long it takes.
