Extra Space Storage my unit was ripped off from the unit next door from inside Patrons rude refused to check camera video said to get a supbeona wont fix so units are safe Riverside California

My storage unit was robbed from the inside. The adjoining unit has marks and is evident that these people had stuffed boxes through to the other side, since the thin drywall doesn't go completely to the top of the ceiling. There are nicks, scrapes, and lots of evidence showing exactly how it was done. I looked into the unit, and there were dressers empty no drawers in them only. The unit on the other side of me was full and looked untouched. I'd been in my unit 2 weeks ago, it was fine. the patron was rude, he refused any info.

refused to check the surveillance camera, said I'd have to subpoena him. He was very discourteus as if I didn't count at all, even though I am a customer and had been ripped off! My other job required me to carry a gun, so my gun was one of the items stolen. Of course I need the info to report the gun which was in the case with the gun. That too will cost me, as the company I have to get this info from charges. My tools, stereo system, well quite a list...They even took the time to go through boxes to see if they wanted them or not. They tore off the tape on boxes, made holes, but also ransacked my unit which had to be a little noisy, since there's broken glass too.

The police made no difference to the patrons, they simply had no regard whatsoever of what these thiefs did! Why would they be so unhelpful about a thief! They didn't even say they would fix the unit, or make it safe. They know who these people are, but they are protecting what, the thief's rights? It seems like the company would be more liable if they don't help to get them. I don't know what else I can do. I did'nt get the insurance either and all my important paperwork including reciepts wee most likely there too. Maybe I'll find them maybe I won't.
