GEX INTERNATIONAL sells JUNK ENGINES ---- BEWARE!!!--- poor customer service Baldwin Park California

GEX sold me a junk engine. They built me a 1641 in a single pressure relief case. When I called to complain, they refused to exchange. They gave a free warranty upgrade, which they refused to honor later. They offered little to no technical support for engine break in or setup. Engine came apart at 1200 miles with loads of metal in the oil.

The conditions for honoring their warranty are very weird. They will only pay about 1/3 the cost of what any machine shop charges for repairs. Or you can pay for shipping back to them, at which time they will say it was your fault and charge you for return shipping. My local VW machine shop said that they get LOTS of engines from GEX and MOFOCO. When I arrived, I asked then what they thought might be the problem, the guy pointed to the GEX sticker on my motor without een looking at it. There is your problem he said. The engine was complete trash.

I paid for balancing, it was not done. I paid for 041 heads and got them, but the combustion chamber volumes weren't even close. They ground off material from the spark plug hole on one head, the other combustion chamber looked like it had been enlarged with a cheese grater. These guys sell junk plain and simple. Ask around, they have a very bad reputation for a reason.
