I purchased a brand new rebuilt engine from Gex international in Jan. of 2005. The manager LARRY (complete liar) called me at home as I had filled out an online questionaire shopping for an engine. I explained that I was NOT YET ready to buy as I could not have the engine installed until the spring of 2006.
He stated that buisiness was slow in the winter and he could build me a GREAT engine, and he aggreed to begin the warranty when I actually installed the engine in the spring of 2006. I accepted his over the phone sincerety. I was soarley burned.
This experience was terrible from the start. I paid for engine balance, NEVER HAPPENED. I paid for upgraded pistons to make the engine a 2.2 liter. And the bore stroak was wrong still making it a 2.0 liter. He lied until I recorded him over the phone concieding his lie. Then when the invoice arrived the invoice read "2.2 liter". So he refunded 200 dollars towards the upgraded engine that never was.
After we installed the engine we had a proffessional shop finish the fine tunning. The engine sheered the cam gear off and the engine is completely useless. We didnt even get 900 mile out of it. Now he went back on his entire warranty, and will not contact us back. LARRY if your reading this, I AM GOING TO SUE THE PANT OFF OF YOU!!! You have met your match. DO NOT BUY GEX.. YOU WILL GET GARBAGE.

After contacting GEX, we came to a reasonable and acceptable resolution. I was quite angry at the time I posted my origional complaint 2 months back. Larry gave me a full refund. I have since purchase a used GEX engine and have found it to be a good running engine.
