H&R Block Charging a service fee for no service! Ripoff Internet

I used hrblock.com to prepare my taxes this year. I was expecting a refund and they posted on their website that you can begin filing your return on January 7, 2006 and get your refund within 8-14 days.

I ususally file for free at another site (www.taxact.com) but their e-file wasn't ready yet and I really needed the refund ASAP. I filed on January 7 and received an email that the irs would accept my return in 24-48 hours and to check back then. Well, a week later, the IRS hasn't accepted my return.

I sent hrblock an email and it hasn't been answered yet so, I did what I should have done before I filed and checked irs.gov. They didn't start e-file until Janauary 13. This information wasn't available on hrblock.com and they are still saying 24-48 hours!

After all of this, they charged me 19.95 for me filing my own taxes.

H&R Block doesn't disclose all the important information you need prior to or after filing.
