HughesNet Hughesnet, The Rural Internet Proivder. More like the Rural Headache Provider Nationwide

My client purchased a new house in rural California.  Although the City's website listed several internet providers, the only one available was Hughesnet.  Hughesnet offers satelite intnernet and claims to offer very high speed connections.  And if you run speedtest.net, the speeds are fast 25 Down and 2-5 Up BUT the PING is like 600.  

Their internet is very spuratic and unreliable.  In fact, it is especially unreliable if you are using a phone or tablet.  

Customer service is hosted in India or another country.  They make an effort to be helpful but it is very time consumming.  

And finally, they only offer 20 Gigs/month/dish.  We have two dishes and do not have enough data to use Netflix.  They offer large amounts of Data in the middle of the night while everyone's asleep.

I would rate them 1-Star *.  They are terrible.
