Our experience with Keith Pierson Toyota has been one nightmare after another.

The grand finale was Keith Pierson himself telling my husband and I that we were ungrateful scam artists, all in front of our 17 year old son. If you live in the Jacksonville area and have any faith that the signs posted around the dealership that say"If your not satisfied ask to speak with Keith Pierson" will do anything but give you an ulcer then you are sadly mistaken.

Mr. Pierson knows that his service department managers and assistant managers are lying to people on a regular basis and he will defend them to the bitter end.

Toyota Corporate has the "Toyo-talk" down to a science. They do nothing to put themselves, their dealerships or their product in jeopardy of falling off of the number one selling sedan in America. They are truly as bad as the dealers that represent them.

There are several postings on this site about the "Sludge" problem in Toyota's engines. I have spoken with mechanics, Toyota corporate and the dealers they all say the same thing, the evil wrong doing consumer has created this situation by not maintaining their cars. And that we need to use dealers to have proof of maintenance.

I would like to ask Toyota why do they think that the consuming public will not use dealers on a regular basis. One reason DEALERS ARE LYING MONEY GRUBBING JERKS!

Keith Pierson Toyota told me that I needed new struts on a 1994 Camry with 50,000 miles. When I questioned this one of the assistant service managers told me that it was because they were after market struts. This did not make sense to me 1.) because Goodyear had just looked at the struts and said they were fine. 2.) because it was unlikely that aftermarket struts would fail so soon also. Who goes through two sets if struts after only 50,000 miles. I am sure that there is some sort of "Toyo-reasoning" for that too.

When the Toyota zone rep. looked at the car a few days later he confirmed what I already knew to be true the struts were original and they were not "seeping" as the assistant manager had said. I needed only the right front strut mount. He went on to tell me that he was sorry that we had been "drug through the dirt" by Keith Pierson Toyota but that there was nothing he could do.

He was on speaker phone yesturday when we had our "meeting" with Mr. Pierson when asked by Mr. Pierson about his inspection of the car. The rep. back pedaled and had a totally different tone than that of two weeks before. This gave Mr. Pierson the license to call me a liar.Because we all know that Toyota employees never lie. Since when does a manufactorer have to cow tow to a slimy owner of a dealership? Now I guess? Is it because of the slimy you scratch my slime, I'll scratch yours?

There is another chapter to this story I am way to worn out to explain it now maybe another day. It concerns this same car that threw a rod and blew a hole through the engine block four hours after I paid for it. On the advise from this same dealerships "certified Toyota technician" I bought and paid over book value because it had been purchased and maintained by them over the last eight years.

I will never buy another Toyota again. I would urge the public to think long and hard about what Toyota has become.

Southeast Toyota has capital interest in Keith Pierson Toyota

AUTHOR: Roxanne - ()

POSTED: Saturday, September 21, 2002

I finally found out why it was that Troy Helsil ( the Southeast Toyota zone service rep.)was "back pedaling", it turns out that Southeast Toyota owns part of Keith Pierson Toyota.

Southeast Toyota's interest is to see that their brand new big investment thrives no matter what it takes! Shame on Toyota and Southeast Toyota! You've teamed up with someone that will only drag your product name and integrity through the mud!

Good luck your new venture guys.I hope that you are all ready for the rough ride ahead of you, with the current economic climate I am sure that your sales and service department will be finding their figures in the red or have they already?

I've heard that the layoffs have already begun at this dealership I am looking forward to the day the there is either another name on the sign or that this dealership closes once and for all.
