Midland Credit Management Can Midland Credit Management Ruin your credit if you ignore their calls? California

I always check unknown phone numbers before I answer them, especially when they don't leave a vmail. So I got my 1st call from 877-237-0512 a few months ago, found out who it was & what they are about & did not answer any of these calls. The calls stopped for a while, but they recently started again & I checked them on the internet again & again are not answering the calls. A law firm ad stated to not ignore them because they will start making negative reports to the credit agencies.

I do not understand why they don't leave a vmail... if they explained why they are calling me in a vmail I would be more inclined to call back or answer. I don't think they have very much data on me personally & are phishing to make me a another 1 of their scam victims with a debt I don't even have that I have read about on the internet. If they knew more about me wouldn't my friends & relatives get calls too, & I'm sure they'd be bombing my email & regular mail too. I think the law firm is just trying to make a quick buck with a scare tactic as well, but I would like to be sure.
