Motion Pictures SAG/AFTRA ripoff They took $599 from my daughter, and performed no services. Severna Park Maryland

Yesterday I received a fax from the infamous "Annapolis Talent Agency." The cover sheet was addressed to "Mike." There is no Mike here, but I would only assume they got the wrong fax number. It would be my guess that "Mike" is another dissatisfied customer.

In essense, they are telling him that they always answer emails, phone calls, letters and that they have constant interaction. Yeah, right! Once you give your name after lodging a complaint, THAT person is never there......They go on to say that they have 100% satisfaction of their customers! HA, HA, HA!

The fax (not signed) has Mary "Hagan's" name on it. Her name was spelled two different ways in the same correspondence. Does she know she's sending it, and does she know how to spell her name?

Needless to say, this site and the file that Better Business Bureau has on The Annapolis Talent Agency, Kidz in the Biz, and Motion Pictures Inc (all the same group) is proof that the percentage of satisfaction is not anywhere 100%!

Motion Pictures Inc finally sent a check. They first sent it to the Court where the judgment was won. Of course (duh) the Court is not a collection agency, so it took an additional 2 weeks or so for the Court to send it back to them. They then sent a check directly to my daughter.

I have to say that after all these months, the Better Business Bureau was the only agency that could get any action out of MPI. I'm sorry to have read the negative comments about the BBB but my own experience was good. They called within two days of the complaint and were courteous and instrumental in obtaining the money.

For anyone who has been ripped off, I would suggest that you call the BBB (they have a good size file on this company) AND, in addition, don't settle for the original amount. MPI used my money for 15 months, and am sure used others just a long, or longer and are trying to send back the original amount. I do believe they exist off of the interest on peoples' money. The only way they will learn a lesson is if they are taking money out of their pocket.

After filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, I got a letter from MPI stating they would mail my check on 9/3/04. It is now 9/16/04 and NO CHECK!

Don't believe anything Motion Pictures Inc, Annapolis Talent, or Kidz in the Biz tells you!
