It's simple, the owners are Doug, Christian (Lives in Antioch and drives a Chevy Tahoe) and Mark. This is at least their third company in the last 4 years. The company's address is 2151 Salvio Street, Ste. 270, Concord, CA 94520. 888-282-3524. The lead guy there is named Jim and he lives in an apartment in Martinez. He prowls the aisles there acting like a sales guru and a motivator.
If you buy a warrant from these people and you live in California it is a waste of money. Your car has to be undriveable in order for it to get repaired, and even then the part still may not be covered. You will be told that if you buy one of the warranties you will receive a $1,500 rebate if you don't file a claim. That is a lie. You will be eligible for the rebate only if you show paperwork to prove you got the oil changes and manufacturer's recommended maintenance on your car. No paperwork, no rebate.
After you get on the phone you will absolutely told this is your last opportunity to buy a car warranty, but before they give you a price you have to speak to the authorization's department; These are "wannabe thugs" that on the phone sound more like "50 Cent" then a real corporate executive and I understand most of them still live at home or go to school. Their real job is to find out if you have a credit card number that can be charged.
There is also a "finance department".........Same wannabe thugs........their job is to make it seem great that you are being offered interest free financing for 12 or 18 months. But how is it interest free financing if I'm still using my own Visa or Mastercard? I'm still paying interest on that.
Most of the plans these people sell are not bumber to bumper coverage, but you will be told it's bumper to bumper coverage over the phone. The way you know it's not is when you take your car to get it serviced and you're told it's not covered.
You can't even review paperwork before you buy a warranty from these people because they won't send you anything to review. If you want to review paperwork before you give out your credit card number then you will be directed to a website. Not the Pacific Guard Warranty Website but to Summit Dealer Services , Warrantech , Royal Alliance , and one or two others. If you as a customer can't make up your mind that you want to buy the warranty right then and there, you will be told your file will be red flagged and you will never have that opportunity again. Needless to say this is not true because you will probably receive the same phone call the next month.
They sell mainly to Florida, South Carolina, New York, California, Hawaii, Maryland, Virginia and Georgia.
If you try to cancel after you sign up you will pay $100 or $200 to cancel, and you will basically lose any money you've paid in advance to these people.
Anyone working for this company should try to find out the owners last names. It may be hard doing this though because a lot of people that work there don't use their real names on the phone.

Allow me to edit and inform of more of the truth if you would. Unbelievable these people are still in business. I see they have once again edited their business name to dealer services warranty. Having said that, it is very difficult to contact the FCc and BBB and they know that. That's why they do it. They run every business name they have into the ground untill it is dead. They have had citation warnings several times in the past and have had to pay some too. They are heartless and have no morals when it comes to being a human being.
Ok now, the owners (Independant contractors) are Douglas Butcher and Christian Westbrook. Christian westbrook lives in Danville Ca. and Douglas Butcher lives in Concord. Christians kids little league basball sponsors their company sadly. I am pretty sure they still scam people at the address of 2175 ste A-4 Treat blvd Concord, California. Workers like jessica decaprio etc are indeed thugs as you say. low lifes and simply put under the spell of their superiors. Most of the employees are ex-cons, drug addicts, or brainless. However; It would be useless going after the employees because they have no say what goes on over there. They do what they are told by the devils mr westbrook and mr Butcher.
Mr Westbrook and Butcher work under another independant contractor working for warentech. Wartentech holds no responsibility for their actions. mr westbrook is a very smart man when it comes to the scam industry. He's done it for years since he left the coca cola company he used to work for. (East County). for a hint, public records has mr westbrooks home address, simply type in his name at zabasearch.com. because of mr Butchers age being under the age of 30, it is difficult to research him but he is married with no children and lives in Concord, he's the one who drives the truck you are referring to.
Their workers (telemarketers and not warranty specialists) come and go in that company. They are put on a probation period. if the superiors see that they are incapable of scamming people, they will get fired. The superiors do not properly analyze their new employees with background checks because it is proven that there have been or are still ex-cons working for their company. Home base of the company is Mo however: their business is associated in the state of nevada. (They do that because of California restrictions).
Now their warranty they sell is limited to certain users such as California for one. they will still sell you a crock of warranty in california knowing that california residents does not qualify for a majority of the so-called coverage. You will pay the same price as a New York resident even when New York qualifies for "all" coverage.
They ask for that oil check up etc before you can get their coverage because they want to make sure that your car is in perfect condition before they cover you. (because 99% of you will pay a 5 years coverage plan and not even use it).
Their telemarketing methods are horrific especially to those with cell phones or for who have been victimized before. they keep your number on record. if you were to say no to them after a long series of sales pitches and begging so to speak, they will keep your number in their archives and get back to it a couple months down the road and try again untill you say yes. Most of the workers are to lazy to take you off the Do Not call list and just hang up on you. Therefor your number stays active. There isnt a Do Not call system they use. Again your numbers will simply go into the files for future use. The only way you will beable to actually formally file a complaint against them is to go for mr westbrook mainly. And using his name is the keyword for the sake he uses many fake business names and company affiliations in order to track him. he is not the owner, just a contractor assisting another from the queen Bee. Again qeen bee is warrantech. mr Westbrook played the same role with Family Care discount based out of texas, and CCCF based out of nevada. He got himself in a big rut with CCCF which is why he left that comapny. Apparently mr Westbrook is trying to sue them for screwing him over LOL.
As you said with the coverage, you are correct! it is a scam and has no value to their customers. The main goal for the company is to get you in and get your non-refundable deposits and enrollment fees. Thats how they rob peter to pay Paul. They will not survive without those non refundable fees.
You pintailed the tail on the donkey when you said that the employees jobs are to make the coverage sound good. That's exactly what they do. They sugar coat the whole entire plan. Their office is one big room with open spaced cubicles (employees sitting right next to each other with head pieces on their heads and a list of calls to make and wait patiently for incoming calls from their call center. (another contracted company to do their dirty work of heavy telemarketing). They clock in early A.M and clock out late hours workig hard to catch every individual they can in the United states.
if you have read this and other complaints and still buy this warranty, than that is on you. you are the stupid one! If you want to throw your money away, give it to me. I will take it! LOL
Sorry to all those who have been victimized by this company (Pacific Guard/Dealer services warranty). You are not alone! Don't ever feel that you cant trust other companies because that wouldnt be fair. But just be more wise and cautious with what you are buying. Do your homework before you give out your credit card numbers and spend your hard earned money. Make sure the company is legit and has a good background. BBB is useless to check out companies because they are just as fraudulent in my book. They mainly get paid to lie for businesses that join their program. If you arent a BBB member then good luck maintaining a good reputation with them. You are better off with good ole GOOGLE!
God Bless and good luck!
