RealNetworks AKA CREAL REALNETWORKS CREDIT CARD SCAM: 30 months of monthly credit card charges for Super Pass trial Seattle Washington

Back in February of 2004 my wife was trying to look at something online and got routed to the Real Networks RealPlayer website to get some kind of "Free" player. The Real Networks website demanded a credit card number for the player even though there was no apparent charge for the download of the player or for using it.

Because my wife and I don't use credit cards much we don't often check our statements and somehow we didn't notice that we were being dinged $10 a month for something called SuperPass which we have never used since the first time she downloaded it and would never use.
What she downloaded was advertised as a free player yet RealNetworks has charged us over $300 in the last two and a half years. For something we do not use and which RealNetworks can plainly tell we never use by looking at our subscription log.

They took advantage of my wife's computer niavete and used DECEITFUL online practices and switch and bait tactics to employ a credit card rip-off.

When I called Real Networks and finally worked my way up to a Level 2 billing specialist call Jennifer she first offered me 3 months credit refund and then when I demanded a full refund she offered 6 months, take it or leave it. When I asked to speak with her supervisor she put me on hold and hung up on me.

Better Business Bureau and Attorney General's office will be hearing from me next.
