The information in this report by the complaintents have been flaseified ...And I know this for a fact that certain person 

was upset because they wanted work done for cheap or free. We told the what had to be done and they rig it them self, then called us back to fix it for the correct help. They where very happy!  

The sex offender file was copied and placed on here illegally, that info is not to be copied and posted by anyone and not to be  used to promote harm of any kind to him or his family. This is stated on all state and city information when looking these things up. 

ALL INFORMATION IN ALL OF THESE REPORTS ARE FALSE SLANDER OF TITLE, CURRENTLY THERE ARE NUMEROUS LAWSUITS FILED FOR THIS FALSE & MISSLEADING INFORMATION. ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION POSTED WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE LAWSUIT.

It is two years later and nothing has changed. I called Scott off of numerous Craigslist ads stating "Honest, licensed, quality, certified MMI scooter mechanic, Nevada Scooter Authority (NSA)".  I asked for upgrade on my 49cc scooter. Scott quoted me $150 for everything. While doing the work he noted my carburetor wasn't seated right? Completed upgrade in about 40 minutes..? He told me not to try to go 35mph for a few weeks..? Also told me on my first oil change there will be shavings in oil..? I asked if he performed oil change?, he said "no". Within the hour I attempted to ride my scooter, but it was barely making it to 17mph at full throttle, was sluggish and stuttering just trying to keep going at that pace. I texted Scott, he stated "Might be the cvt". I asked what is a CVT? He responded "Trans". I texted "I wasn't having this problem before, what can be done?" He responded "Replace cdi. You need another part, they are $65 total installed" I texted "will that make EVERYTHING ok? It smells like something is burning..?" Scott responded "Yes" he installed the part and stated "my tires are low that is why sluggish" I paid $50 with the offer of paying balance ($25) the following week when he would be back to possibly do work on my son's scooter. I attempted again to ride my scooter, it was barely stuttering to 24mph. I texted Scott again and asked if he could just restore my scooter back to what it was before any "upgrade" and he responded he could "for $125. Although new carb can fix speed issue...and will cost less, $100. In order for scooter to operate above 25mph carb modification or change is needed" I couldn't see spending an additional $100 right away. So, I checked with original owner (Harley Davidson mechanic) as well as 3 other scooter mechanics. They all advised a new carb was not necessary (or ever would be). I texted Scott this info. He responded "If my work is tampered with warranties are void. I'll refund you for cdi only, text me your address so I can pick up the cdi that he installed". I tried texting and calling to advise that wasn't going to do. But, he had blocked my phone number.  I contacted another (more reputable) scooter mechanic, who didn't need to replace carb (just needed re-jetting, any mechanic would have known that), and did a few minor things as well as oil change (oil was black as coal) and replaced my tires that had pin hole slow leaks caused by a sharp instrument in both sidewalls. Remember how Scott pointed out my carburetor in 1st visit and then pointed out my tires in second visit? Very suspect. Any positive feedback on Scott left anywhere is placed by girlfriend, Deidre, using "anonymous and fictitious names" After researching and speaking to a few other scooter owners, they have all been victimized by Scott Taggert. Basically, the same story (two years later), Shoddy work, NO WARRANTY, no receipt, no refunds. He is a criminal, thief and liar, and by no means a certified scooter repair mechanic.

Since I am truthful and honest, I am putting it out there I did get a refund on my cash portion of my original payment to Scott. 

The dammage to the scooter's rims where not address, but this is at least some good faith. 

That was all I was looking for, I have a mechanic now that does a great job at great rates.

I haven't met any of you yet I'm afraid. I joined the group on like Friday and my scooter was stolen on Sunday. I have a listing for it in the stolen section. I bought my scooter from Scott, the LV Scooter Tuner guy. He's all over Craigslist with his ads on how reliable he is and how is certified. I'd ask to see proof of that. I originally called him because he is friends with someone I know. I was tickled when he brought a scooter to me the next day. I wasn't happy for long though. 

I bought a 2008 SUNL from him that he had put a 150cc engine on. I drove it to the corner store once and had to walk it back. I called Scott the next day and he came out grumbling that I owed him dinner for coming back. I told him I expected the scooter to run for more than one day after purchase. 

A few days later the exhaust fell off. He charged me 65 bucks for a replacement. It wasn't the right one for the scooter and he attached it with a wire coathanger. 

A couple more times of it not starting and him coming out at 20 a pop to give me a jump and I decided to start tinkering around with stuff myself. The idle screw was not right and kept vibrating out. I replaced that myself. I didn't realize this wasn't normal. I've never had a scooter before. 

Irecommended Scott to someone ( what was I thinking???)[/color] and Scott gave a quote of $150 to upgrade the 50cc to 100 with a kit. He said it was $150.00 for the kit. It would be another $200 for the labor and to fix the other issues wrong with the scooter. He didn't look at the scooter before he gave the quote for the job. He came over, got the scooter and I gave him $100 bucks to get started. He came out, took the scooter and kept calling with updates on how he couldn't do this or that but was doing 'other' stuff. 2 days later he tells us it is done and brings it over.

He did not do the kit install. He said it wouldn't fit the scooter so he bored it out to make it 100cc. He also said he fixed the rest of the problems with the scooter. He told his used parts from other scooters to fix it. Used parts.

Upon test drive the scooter did not go any faster. It barely went 30 mph. Displeasure was expressed.  When it came time to pay him we told him we were not paying for the $150 kit that he said he needed to buy. He didn't buy it. 
He started yelling and threatening to call the police. We told him to go right ahead. He said he would take the scooter if we didn't give him the full amount.

I put the scooter in my garage and closed it.  I gave him an additional $125 for a total of $225.00. He left but he was still very angry. He kept yelling that he had put so many hours of labor into it. He was told too bad, you bid the job not how many hours. 

2 days later the scooter wouldn't start. It was the same issue he had been told about. Apparently he didn't fix anything. I took the spark plug out and it looked like it had been in there for years. It wasn't recently changed. So for $225.00 I have a broken scooter in my garage. 

I would say stay far, far away from Scott LV Scooter tuner ( 702-619-2155) I am very happy to see good reviews for Shannon and will call him if my mechanic buddy can't help us on Friday. Post #: 400 I have dealt with Scott myself. Last year, I was heading west on Desert Inn past Eastern when my scooter went out. I called him and he told me carb needed to be cleaned which it was. That was the only I dealt with him. I am so sorry for your loss. I go to Nevada Cycle Parts up by Las Vegas BLVD and Carey Avenue in North town for my scooter needs. I have had no problems with Jay who owns this place. I brought my 2010 Roketa 50cc in November of 2010. I have had it for almost a year and a half. It runs great because I do the basics on it such as changing the engine oil at least every 100miles, and cleaning out the air filter. I even know how to fix the light bulb on it. Go to any scooter store around town and you can purchase them for $10. By being able to fix your scooter, you save on labor. I hope you get what you want for yourself. Happy riding to you.

Post #: 8 I do like to do little things myself. Carey and LVB is a bit far when I'm stuck with no transportation but thanks for the suggestion. 

Yeah, Scott's answer for everything is to spray some carb cleaner and tell you to buy a new battery. 

That's another story. I bought a new battery and ran it down by mistake. My spark plug cover had come off and I didn't see it in the dark. When I discovered that the next day I called Scott to come and give me a jump. He forgot battery cables. The HELL???

We had to take the battery out and ride around looking for a business that was open to let us use a plug for his charger. and sit there for over an hour while it charged. It was uncomfortable as hell and really Mickey Mouse.

Scooter Stop on N Decatur Blvd is a JOKE. They sell parts for 2x or 3x more than all of the other scooter shops. Budget scooters sells BRAND NEW wire harnesses for $25 and used ones for $10 and scooter stop wants to sell me a used one for $35 REALLY WTF

First encounter with this guys was on-line almost 2  yr ago - I found him

on CL and wanted a quote for problems with my scooter-after explaining problem

and getting a $45 est-then  I sent  2nd email to him explaining I didn't need

everything he gave me est for then the price went up  to $90- for

real!!  Needless to say I told this story to many friends in the scooter

community. Not to my surprise many have already had bad encounters with him

already. Flat out a rip off!!

 I know people personally who had work done and he  ruined their

scooters where another reliable mechanic had to fix his mess. Only good

thing is the reliable  mechanic's business is booming because of

this person. This so called mechanic even worked  a scooter ( service

call)  didn't have the right tool avail- customer had the right tool to

loan him- after repair was done he drove off with customers tool- when contacted

he refused to return it- Flat out a theft i would say!! 

Another gal  encountered this so called mechanic. To make this

 short. He made unwelcome sexual advances and harrassed his for quit some

time via text and other means. Flat out sexual predator!!

This said person even obnoxiously  posts on CL  ( 5 or more a day) ads

that aren't even consistent. Like one post says rate is $hr- when the post

under /over it says $25 hr- Then he will also mention that somehow he is

affiliated with a specific individual/ group when he

isn't. Flat out liar!!!

Its a shame this  guy does this to people. He is so ignorant he cant comprehend  all this unfavorable opinions of him  is never going to change.  More to next time.

You and your autistic looking (what I assume to be illegal Mexican) assistant that does not speak english refused to follow my direction to be careful with my scooter rims, scratched the hell out of them. I immediately detailed as usual to find scuff's and damage around the entire rim plus inside, on both sides!

The freaking tire tubes you put in were wrong size and not even for a scooter, rather a lawn mower. 

It failed quickly and you could not give a sh* less when I let you know. You lied when I asked you if they were the correct size on the phone after it deflated. 

Rims are being repainted to restore them to the condition prior to your "wonderful service". At a higher rate that is higher than your FINALY offering to refund on what you even charged me total, Im happy to get a refund but Im still stuck with costs of repairing the damage. I will post before and after photos here if need be.

S and A shop owned by Shannon charged me $10 total for what you charged me $80 (cash)+$40 (certificates). Even though you also messed up by senselessly gluing the freaking (2 piece) rims together requiring extra work.

You may work on Chinese pieces of s**t all day and night with your idiot buddy, if you have no clue about quality scooters from Japan and cannot avoid manhandling them with damage FREAKING SAY SO!

I am so happy this loser stated these lies, I am one of the customers he ripped
off and will post a video featuring audio from our conversation proving
the scam artist he is (opposite of all claims he made here).

When I saw this piece of waste trying to scam in

Use common sense, a convicted rapist with no driver license in constant hot

First of all, lvscooter tuner aka SCOTT (lying crook) number is:
702-619-2155 , but he also includes in his ad number: 702-824-0838 ,
whom is the phone number of a REAL certified motorcycle mechanic named
Dan. I found this out when I was calling to get more evidence about
Scott the crook. Scot uses Dan's number to cause co-orison and confusion
with a real mechanic on craigs list! For starters how shady is that? I
cannot endorse Dan first hand, although he can present a real license
and it's transparent the crook is copying from his Craigslist ads.



This guy is complete fraud is bottom line! I am not a competitor (like
Scott explains why criminal info on him keeps getting posted on cl) just a
customer who was screwed over by him hard and have evidence to prove
it.I am now working on a YouTube video custom for this scam artist! I
will than post it featuring Scott in his own words making empty promises
and scamming me proving his ads are fraud via recorded phone
conversation with video of the damage he caused to the scooter. Another

Fact's regarding Scott's "expert qaulity service": For a simple tire replacement call (I had the new tires)



-Did'nt know anything about my Japanese (rare) honda gyro scooter, told
me to get tubeless tires and did not know I actually needed tubes with
my model

-came over with assistant that did not speak english he was bullying
around trying to train him at the expense of my scooters mint condition!


-I specificly asked to handle my rims with care as the scooter is rare

-Scott had not clue the rim came apart in two pieces (before I had to
show him myself!), started trying to cut the tires off while complaining
it was "extra work"

-Regardless my request for caution, him and his assistance scraped the crap out of my rims dammaged them!

-Even had my scooter up on a freaking milk crate and knocked it over on an arcade machine in my garage scuffing that up too!

-One rim is warped, it wobbles when it rides as that damage was apparent
right away (but off course the crook took off), I called him once all
was clear

-Two days later, all the air decompresses as the tube he sold me fails in the 2nd tire! leaving me stranded

-(OVER) Charged me 120 bucks for this what should have been simple job
of tire replacement (ended up paying 80 cash and 40 gift certificates) -
he claims to have drove around for two hours getting a tire tube while
leaving me holding my scooter on the milk crate to prevent it from
falling (again).



Trying to clear it up i call him Monday October 1st, he says to call him
today (Wednesday October 3rd) to come by and deal with it. I was
patient hoping for the best.



He blows me off eledgeing "I have 7 bikes to do today" meanwhile he
asked me to call stating he would take care of it! , continues to
proclaim his work in NOT GUARANTEED! (because we cant go back in
time??!! his exact words!) even though his ad fraudulently states work
is guaranteed. He than proceeded to hang up on me. It is unreal how
shady this crook is.



I called back pissed off, he is so stupid he returned my call not
knowing who i was! His con angle evolved at that time saying he'll take
it to his fictional shop if I agree to $45/hr should he feel the damage
he caused is not his fault!?! Or feel like blaming someone else that
did not work on the scooter. Clearly this was an attempt to STEAL my
rare scooter. He had clear criminal interest even in that regard "how
much did you pay for it" " they are rare", even asked me how much my
iPad cost! Than his equally shady mute assistant jumps on my scooter!
What the hell?



Simply ask this fraud to SEE HIS MMI license and his "shop"! This will
expose him on the spot. Not to mention he claims 22 years in the
business when the loser is about 25 and the only business he practices
is scamming ANYONE and EVERYONE whom comes in contact with him. I can't
belive I fell for this con! Than again I didn't have the info of victims
as I have now posted.



I feel terrible getting ripped off by this human piece of waste, just
