Being unemployed and tied to a very expensive prescription that I MUST take, I was quite happy to find SCBN. A friend of mine in the benefits business then informed that it was a suspicious deal and I should cancel my membership after paying the membership fee (which is no easy task). First they tell me to send back the membership packet (which I did) and it would then need to be approved by the board. I then got a letter back telling me the packet was incomplete (and I returned EVERYTHING) and that they would not reimbure my money. The letter they sent said, "Get answers to your questions 24-hours a day at www.scbn.org/support" and the only way to contact them at this web site is to have a login which I do not have. Combined with the fact that there is no contact link on their web site and that they never return calls (they always claim that all Advocates are busy), this is clearly a RIPOFF!!

Dear Richard,

AUTHOR: Brad @ SelectCare Benefits Network - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, August 04, 2009

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. I have spent some time going over your case with our Advocate Team, and I think that you will find the resolution to meet your expectations.

You signed up for our advocacy services and we mailed you the new member kit along with your discount card. It is unfortunate that you chose to cancel in your first 30 days. Select Care allows any member to cancel during this time if they return the kit, but no refund is available as advocacy services have already begun in good faith. We are still committed to helping you procur your medications and if you want to take advantage of what you signed up for originally then we are pleased to help.

We are certainly happy to offer you a free month of membership so that you can get the medications. We are confident that in this time period of using your membership, you will not only receive your medications but also be very happy with our ability to assist you in receiving your medications. Please contact me at 512-406-5057 so that we can get things started.

Sincerely,

Brad Williams
