Straight Talk Wireless Stealing Data Internet

I purchased a Straight Talk Wireless Hot Spot ZTE Z288L about 2.5 years ago. Since the start data would disappear even when the unit was OFF. In the beginning I would call in and report this issue and the Straight Talk Rep. would put the data back. The problem has been getting worse in the last year.

As a test I put 1 Gig of data on 6/21/2017, turned on the Hotspot and verified it was activated (LTE 4G shows up when activated).  I immediately turned the unit OFF and it has be OFF since the 21st. Today, 6/27/2017 I turned the unit on and it shows it has no data.  (Unit had been OFF the whole time & there is a strong WiFi password associted with the Hot Spot.

I called Straight Talk and thay state 0.5 Gigs were used on the 21st and all the data is used up now and refuse to put back the data. I'm in the wireless business and know how these switches operate. I understand Straight is a reseller for AT&T and for Verizon and don't own or operate the towers/switches.

There is NO WAY 0.5 Gig can be used just by turning on the device with no users connected. Straight Talk is stealing the data and they know it! Do a Google search and check with the BBS as I have. Thousands of complaints for the SAME THING! I'm done, sign me up for the Class Action Suit!
