My parents have paid The Mortgage Law Group $2900.00 over a course of 4 months and have yet to have any progress on their Loan Modification. The process began in September 2011 and to-date nothing has been submitted to the mortgage company or finalized in any way. My parents have submitted ALL requested documentation multiple times. When they attempted to contact the company "specialists" they were met with transfers to voicemail, hang ups, no return calls and basically avoidance tactics.
I have contacted the company and was told that this is the "normal" process and time frame for Loan Modifications and that had my parents been responsible enough to submit all the documents requested they could have proceeded sooner. I am still trying to contact the Billing/Accounting department to try to get all or some of the monies paid refunded. I have been transferred to voicemails, hung up on, and given fax numbers to contact in their efforts to avoid this issue.
My parents are in their 80's and facing losing their home. I am truly saddened that they have been the victims of a scam by The Mortgage Law Group who obviously in my opinion have had no intention of assisting them with saving their home. My hope is that this reporting will prevent other individuals desperate to save their homes from being robbed of valuable time and money.

As of 11-8-2011 The Property Mgt. Company locked out all employees from the office. Scottsdale is the only processing location for the Firm that is modifying your loan. The files are locked in the office and all employee's are laid off. Calls are being answered (routed?)
I suggest you contact your Mortgage Companies directly to see exactly where your file is within the process. If you have a scheduled foreclosure maybe contact an Atty.
The upper Mgt. knew this was coming and did nothing to stop it.
Good luck and I will post more info

The Mortgage Law Group Cannot Be Trusted

After filing complaints with the AG in both Florida and Illinios, posting complaints on Trustlink, Facebook, and Ripoff Report I was finally able to speak to someone at The Mortgage Law Group. The employee told me they were only waiting on the Authorization Form to be able to submit documents to the mortgage company. Then I got tranferred to another employee (well, to a fax line so I had to call back) and was informed that "they have already submitted documents to the mortgage lender". My first response was " how did you submit without authorization and why would you submit one doc at a time?" I have worked with home loans and you submit a "packet" of info initially, not a random doc at a time. Every explanation was intended to divert the subject, confuse the details or an outright untruth.
Others may have had a different experience and are fortunate for that. However, I would never recommend this group to anyone at anytime. I am still trying to help my parents get all or some of their money back. They need every penny. Unbelievable that there are people who would do this to senior citizens.
