Travelodge, Bellingham Travelodge Worst experience I have ever had! The room sucked... dirty, smelly and they dont care! Bellingham Washington

My husband had planned a long weekend to go up to Mt. Baker for my birthday, and booked the room through Priceline for over $300.00. We got there and the room was probably the smallest I have ever seen in a motel room, but the problem came when you went into the bathroom to use the sink-they had the counter cut out for the sink and just placed the smaller than the hole sink into it.

When you turned the water on, you had to hold the sink down because it wasnt caulked into the counter. It was a smoking room, which was fine because my husband smokes, but the bedspread had numerous holes throughout from cigarettes, ugh! There was no lighting in there because they replaced all the bulbs with 11 watts because there were burn marks on the ripped lightshades (I guess that was good that we really couldnt see what a rathole we were actually staying in)!

I was trying not to cry for my birthday weekend, and I didnt want him to feel bad so I kept my mouth shut, then I find out he was also very upset and was keeping his mouth shut to keep me from getting upset, so I decided to write a letter to voice my anger and see if they would respond, and all I got was a letter stating that they regret that they dont have good communication between housekeepers and the front desk, shouldnt the owner know what types of rooms he is renting out?

I was not satisfied with that response, so I am going to make sure that everyone knows what a rathole that place is. Maybe the fire marshall should know that the window is nailed shut and you can only open it 3-4 inches for air, if their was a fire I am sure someone will die! So beware going to the BELLINGHAM TRAVELODGE!
