Ugly Duckling - DriveTime ripoff dishhonest lying FTC violators, preying on consumers, should not be allowed to continue doing business under any name Atlanta Georgia

In 2001 my wife and I needed a vehicale and went to Drivetime/(Ugly Duckling at the time) to get one we thought we had found a deal in a 96 Grand Am.

It seemed to run OK and the engine looked good So after a test drive we decided to start the paper work.

During the time in the office i began to ask the salesman about the car. He answered all of them pretty quickly until I asked him had the car ever been in an Accident. He paused for a moment and then said no.

With all of the paperwork done we head home with our new car. Less than two weeks later we started having problems with the car and no one wanted to take the call to fix the matter.

I also find out that the car had infact been in an accident and when we called to speak with the salesman about that we are that he no longer works there.

We spent hundreds just makeing the car drivable again and when we asked about trading the car in ( we were told we would be able to) of course they did not honor the agreement.

Since weve had the car we have had to spened a pretty penny to keep it running even had to replace the engine and the car was less than a year old.

If you are a consumer and you need a car stay away from Drivetime or what ever the name will be a year from now.
